Learning player skills is done through the adventures guild. Once you create your party, you select the option of training. From there select the character, the skill, and to what level you want the skill at. Some skills are cheaper than others and each level trained counts as a skill.

To note and easy way to get a few passive skills is to change the characters to each class with the option, Chamge Class. When they become the new class they gain a few passive skills at level one. Rinse, repeat for each class for each character and you are well on your way. Extra classes unlock through the game.
