How to unlock the Apex predator achievement in BLACKTAIL - Definitive Guide

You can shoot arrows at Black cat (at any location) to start the mini-game (he calls it The Witch Cauldron). There are different maps (10-12 I think) you play on, they appear in random order. 4 maps have one rat you need to save (just run through it). No matter you win or lose the map, just collect the rat. Keep trying and play / restart the mini-game (there are no rewards anyway) until you play through all maps with rats. After collecting all 4 rats the achievement will pop.
Note: if you found yourself "stuck" (no more maps have a rat or the only one specific map appears) - keep playing through the story and try again after changing the season.

I had to unlock Winter to get the last rat to appear, Is it possible 1 rat appears for every season you unlock?

Simply shoot an arrow at Mr. Black Cat and beat the mini game, rinse and repeat. Some mini games did not have a rat, so keep on trying. I believe there are 4 rats, total.

You need to shoot the cat at the base and a mini-game will start. At some levels there will be a rat. It must be taken. Rat 4.

Winning the level with the rat is not required. You just need to pick it up
