At any time during play you can connect a second controller and let player 2 control your Drone. Unfortunately you can't play as 2 Mechs, so this isn't really very useful, since your Mech can't shoot or jump while the Drone is deployed. While the game could have been fun in 2 person couch co-op, the above limitations mean you'll likely use this once to get the trophy then complete the game as a single player experience.
