Blades of Time

For this achievement you need to collect all the notes in the game, which are one of the game's two collectible types. These appear as glowing pages on the ground. When you select story in the main menu, it will show you all the areas you've been to (the first time you press it, it just starts the game, but after that...). On the bottom right hand corner of the picture of each area are spots for two icons.

The one on the left is for normal mode. If you've finished the area on normal difficulty, the outside of the icon becomes a silver blade. If you've gotten all notes AND treasures from that area, the inside is red. If you are missing any of either treasures or notes, the inside is empty.

The one on the right is for hard difficulty. The outside turns gold after you finish the area, the inside turns purple after you get all the treasures AND notes.

You can replay an area at any time, but you lose any progress in whatever area you are in. However, this means they aren't missable as you can return to that area later on. Once you've picked something up and reached a checkpoint (book in the top right corner of screen) it is saved and you can leave the area without finishing it. You can also return to where you were so, let's say...

You finished the Jungle area and the inside isn't red. You can return there, and then when you find something, you can pick it up and then get to the checkpoint, and then quit. Check the icons again and see if it has turned red. If it hasn't you can keep going and look for other stuff. If it is, you don't have to finish the stage and can freely do something else.

These are listed in the order you get them. They are out of order near the end of the game, so yes, that isn't a mistake. The Desert and Dragon Temple areas do not have any notes.

NTW Page 1 - When you enter the room with the game's first floor switch, Ayumi will pick it up during the cutscene, it is impossible to miss.

NTW Page 2 - Right after you encounter the flying face for the first time, you'll find this page in plain view in the middle of the path you are on.

NTW Page 3 - After hitting the switch at the top of the tall room where you first learn to dash to corals, a big gate will open. Right after entering that gate the page will be on the left.

NTW Page 4 - After you reach a big open area and save a human from a bunch of flying creatures, the game will introduce you to the concept of parasites. The game prompts you to shoot the parasites, do so. Dash to the second coral and then jump onto the small island. The page is on that island.

NTW Page 5 - Right after defeating the Gateguard (first boss) face the portal and look to the right for this page.

Jungle

SLB Page 1 - Shortly after killing the two spearmen and destroying the small pillar, you'll drop down to an open area. The page will be right in front of you, nearby.

SLB Page 2 - After the cutscene with the guildmaster, continue forward and you'll see this on the ground in front of you, in the open.

SLB Page 3 - Once you get on the ship you'll have to kill a bunch of flying creatures and then destroy a small pillar. When you continue forward you'll be ambushed by two shield guys, the page is in this area in front of you.

Human Base

NTW Page 6 - After using the wheel to open the door and escape the Slasher, you'll see this page on the stairs right in front of you.

NTW Page 7 - After the cutscene with Michelle and opening the big gate with time rewind, you'll fall down into a long pathway. The page will be behind you.

NTW Page 8 - After fighting off some humans in the long staircase up to the temple and using the wheel to open the gate to get inside, you'll see this on a box on the left shortly after.

Temple

NTW Page 9 - Once you reach the big ramp leading up to a wide open area with a bunch of gunmen, kill them all, then face the stairs. Go down the path on the left of the stairs and then look to the left for the page.

NTW Page 10 - In the room with all the lasers and the portal switch, you'll reach an area that have lasers that move back and forth across the ground. The page is to the left of the tracks these lasers use.

NTW Page 11 - In the room where you need to push the charges to the altar switch using Order spells, the page is in the corner on the right if you are facing the portal switch.

Sky Islands

SN Page 1 - In the big area with the waterfall where you found the Swords of Anger, the page is behind said waterfall on the left.

SN Page 2 (After getting this page you should unlock the CURIOUS achievement) - After getting the ability to fly, you'll be able to access a ton of islands. If you are facing them, the island on the far right has the page.

SN Page 3 - Once you reach the area with a bunch of flying creatures with a ton of corals that have parasites on them, kill the enemies and shoot all the parasites, then start dashing up the corals. After you reach the end of the first set, turn around and look to the left. You'll see two corals leading down to an island with this page on it.

Sky Docks

SN Page 4 - After you first encounter enemy ships and destroy them, a nearby laser trap will disappear, at the bottom of this ramp on the right is the page.

SN Page 5 - After surviving the encounter on the moving ship, you'll find this page in the new area to the right of the door of the building.

SN Page 6 - After activating the obelisks and evading the Slasher, Zero's cell will be open, the cell right before his has the page.

Brutal Lands

SA Page 1 - After your first encounter with the Chaos Enemies here, look at the pillar in the middle and go to the left side of it and follow it to find this page.

SA Page 2 - After breaking the ice on the three corals and using them to dash to the exit of the room, turn around and drop down to the platform right below you to find this page on the left.

SA Page 3 - After killing the 5-6 Brutal Mauls in the area with freeze guns, progress forward to find three obelisks you have to activate with the Order spell. After the enemies die, you can continue forward or take the path straight ahead from where you entered to find this page.

SA Page 4 - After crossing the bridge and killing all those flying enemies, break the pillar at the end of the bridge. Now go straight forward from the bridge and a bit to the right to find this page on the ground

SA Page 5 - After meeting Chaos Humans for the first time and fighting your way to a big chasm, go right to find a path leading down, the page will be on the ground in your way as you move along. Start climbing the platforms you reach until you see an altar on the right.

Brutal Town

SN Page 7 - After using the floating platform to reach the big door, look to the left for platforms you can jump on. Do so and enter the door, then take the page sitting on the ground on the left.

SN Page 8 - Sometime after SN Page 7 you'll enter a room with a chaos area and Chaos Monsters. Kill them and follow the room back outside, straight ahead is an ice coral. Shoot it and then double jump dash to it and jump to the left side of the small wall to find this note.

SN Page 9 - After the Shaman you'll enter an area with a bunch of shields guys, kill them, then shoot the ship until flying enemies appear and destroy it, then kill them. A Skyguard boss will be dropped off, kill him and enter the tower on the left. Go up the stairs to find the note on the ground.

SN Page 10 - After opening the door in the pit where the SKyguard/Chaos forces were fighting with the two cannons up top, this will be on the ground near a torch on the right just inside the tunnel.

SA Page 6 - After the gigantic battle between Chaos/Skyguard in the open area, and going through the door to the right to the top and hitting the switch, go back down and enter the door opposite and find this page on the left of the stairs on the ground, in some flowers.

SA Page 7 (After collecting this page you should unlock the Collector achievement) - Very late in the stage you'll need to go up an elevator, the Slasher will appear and you'll have to wait for the elevator to come down, go behind the elevator to find this note.
