I suggest playing Jungle Map on normal difficulty.
Its best to stay with your team instead of charging ahead as they will only get held up otherwise.
I just spammed
on everything and used Heavy Strike when possible. The 2 best skills to choose at the start are the ones assigned to

... use them whenever possible.
The worst bit is actually destroying the outposts as they target you with lasers / fireballs that quickly drain your health... start by staying back & shooting them until one of your soldiers gets close enough to be targeted by the outpost.
Then you can move in safely & start spamming heavy strikes. Repeat for all outposts until you win
