Although there is no chapter select, once you've found a photo, you don't need to find it again (although it will still exist in your game world). When going for collectibles, I suggest using strategic save points (at the tree, after solving the sawmill camp puzzle, after the fog, etc.) That way you don't have to play through the whole game again. However, there is no list where you can see all the ones that you've found.

As noted in the comments (and suggested by the game itself), using headphones greatly helps in finding items and navigating the game. It especially helps with finding totems, which is where the bulk of the photos are. So use headphones and enjoy the side benefit of having the crap scared out of you.

You may have gone too far if you get a text that says "keep moving." The only text you should have before the "look up between the branches text" is a text from Jess a while ago. *edit* deleted comment instead of editing smh, yeah agreed way too far.

oh i can help there near where you decide to kill the lumberjack or not you pass through many small rooms one of which has the totem hanging to your left as you pass through a doorway. i can't remember exactly where that room is though but you have to go through it for the story. it may be a bit before the lumberjack bit, my memory of chap 17 is a bit hazy.

i don't think those 3 count for the cheevo the first one is after you look up in the dead woman room it's on the floor the second is a room right after the don't look at the witch bit hard to miss and the third is after the first rage bit just before you grab the red and green idol in the room you are teleported too on a table right in front. i'm off for now will be on for questions and stuff in a few hours good luck on the hunt.

There are 2 that I know of in the fog. One is before getting to the white tree, not sure but it's when Carver tells you to hug the rocks. Also, after following the trail with Bullet at the end of the trail when Carver stops singing, there is trees with white marks on them, follow them to a cairn, you will hear the sound.

Can I just run through killing everything, not worrying about calls, instructions etc. so long as I make sure to follow the rules for the dog Cheevo? yeah basically after you kill the 2 monsters at white tree run far forward past it and just run in between all the trees near the back and a bit left you will know you found it when you get a text. it's real hard to explain. it's the second time you see the tree aka the first fight.

They are hard to find but they are there. If you follow Carver's instruction exactly you will find yourself an the area he tells you to "stick close to the rocks" as to not be seen. Keep heading straight from there (past were you need to go up to the white tree) and you'll reach the totem at a deadend -you can hear it and there is a white mark above it. The other one is at the end of the song, look for white marks on trees -keep in mind these white marks will not show up on your camcorder. Listen for the totem. You can hear it.

I'm pretty sure Sasha has all the others accounted for the 3 in chap 13 can be grabbed within 20 sec from each other the last totem in chap 17 and the one under the stairs in chap 17 are quite easily missable try them if you don't think you have one of them.
