Pretty simple.
Push Windows Key + "i" to get to the settings and change them to beginner and one round for arcade.

You need to move the mouse to the top of the screen until a white bar comes down. On the left hand side there is 3 lines. Click on them and the settings menu appears.)
If you're just starting out like me pick v-13 (she's the character on the top left - i will work my way from left to right to get the "finish arcade with all characters" achievement).
--> even easier with hakumens "b" + left stick towards enemy.
Just spam v-13s "B" Attack (if using controller and "K" if using keyboard) and try to push left on the right stick for a distortion finish when your opponent is on low health.
took me about 10min tops to reach rachel and kick her butt.

TIPS:
don't forget to press A,B,X,Y to do the barrier burst (you have to do it 20 times) and make sure that you actually hit your opponent.
like all the other very good solutions already stated - you have to push start on the controller or space/enter on the keyboard when booting the game or otherwise it won't trigger the achievements.
but: what worked for me was being in game - pressing b on the controller to return to the main screen and pressing enter with the keyboard to get back in. i got the keyboard achievement that way.

Thank you for this helpful guide! I obtained this using this method (along with "Speed Star" in the first match I played). While working on "NOT BAD AT ALL!!" I found that Iron Tager is also very good for this by using his Down+A and also his Toward+A moves.
