There is a total of 9 STEM images and you unlock one everytime you win a quick race. (By finishing in top 3 according to puffenuff)
Fastest way to grind this is through custom races using this setup:
> Overdrive Event
> 1 Lap
> Easy
> Blaze (Red Vehicle)
Drift using
at the first turn, collect 10 wrenches, press 
to activate your powerup, and do the same for the next turn.
After you finish the race, press restart, and keep repeating this race till you unlock the achievement.

Actually you don’t need to win, just be top 3 and you will still get the stem image.
