How to unlock the Gaining Strength achievement in Bless Unleashed - Definitive Guide
This achievement is for attempting to upgrade a rare item 30 times. Rare items are blue. Anything blue or higher (purple, yellow and I think the last tier is red) counts for this. Upgrading is done at an enchanter. There's 3 types of enchanters : common, master and unlicensed. Unlicensed costs the least, but it can fail and permanently destroy the item, so I would never suggest using this. Common is the middle ground. Items can fail and break, and also go down a level (like +5 to +4) but they can repaired with repair tools or the same item. Note that the chance to downgrade/break when upgrading from 0 to +1 is zero, so there is no reason not to use the common for the first upgrade in a tier. Past that is a risk though. Unless you have repair tools or dupes of the item you are upgrading, you may find yourself with an unusable weapon and have to spend the night grinding starseeds to buy a kit to use it again, like I did. Don't do that.
Master costs the most (always uses starseeds), but items will not downgrade or break. If you want to do this cheaply, you can use the unlicensed enchanter and use gear you don't want, but if you want to complete the game you'll be attempting to enchant dozens and dozens and dozens of times, as the rate for success seems to go down as the item's tier goes up. I never failed more than once upgrading my weapon to legendary, then promptly failed to upgrade it 4 times in a row. Since the game is heavily gated by gear score, this is basically a story related achievement.
