Time trials are located in the trials menu. Press 
to bring up the menu in-game, then select trials. Select the battle category, then scroll down until you reach the time trial section. A time trial is just a race to kill bosses in a certain amount of time. When you kill a boss an icon and some text will appear on the screen, telling you how long it took. There's not really too many tricks to this, you just need enough DPS to kill the bosses. Since most are in 5 player dungeons, you are somewhat dependent on other people to get these. I was able to get the time trials for Infernal Kitchen quite easily, but could only get Vasilos (sp?) in Altar of Blood. It's super hard to take down Caligula since it burrows often, and the poison of the specimen boss really slows down everyone's DPS unless people know how to do the fight. Ideally you want to do them with a bunch of people who are much higher than the dungeon requirements and know the fights. However the 2 player ones can be done quite easily after you've far exceeded the gear score/level requirement, so if you're solo player you go for those. 2 notes...
-Emperor or Roots appears to be bugged, I did it in under 10 seconds multiple times and didn't get the trial.
-The 3 "XXXXXspeaker" enemies are in the Gnoll Triumvirate arena. You face 2 bosses but there are 3 possible bosses. In order to get the time trial you have to beat BOTH in under 1 minute. They summon totems at 50% health that can slow things down. Make sure when they hit 50% you let them summon the totem and then destroy it. One of them is a totem of reflection, which will kill you instantly if you're overpowered.
Other than getting your gear score up and picking equipment that boosts attack power/crit chance/crit damage, you can also pick up food and potions that increase your damage output. These might be able to get you over the line.
