How to unlock the Juiced achievement in Blitz: The League - Definitive Guide

************************ SPOILER WARNING *********************
************************ SPOILER WARNING *********************
************************ SPOILER WARNING *********************

You have been warned.

Well now lets get to it. This is going to be a long guide so pay attention.

This is THE HARDEST achievement in the game. Not because its difficult and not because it is a grind (at least to someone who's got Veteran Gear or 1500 games in Fracture).

This achievement is the hardest because it requires specific conditions and timing, it took me 3 campaigns to figure it out. Also remember that this game was a port from the original Xbox when achievements werent even thought of yet. This game is also buggy in other ways.

Ok, now that we got the intro out of the way lets get started.

When starting a new campaign choose these people/conditions to start:

Coach 2/3 (Arm Accuracy Upgrade)
Off Cord 1/3 (Improved QB)
Def Cord 2/3 (LB/SS Faster/Stronger)
Doctor 3/3 Increases gain from training

After the management staff has been selected pick the QB rookie and LB veteran.

This achievement focuses on only one thing: TRAINING UPGRADES.

DO NOT spend money on gear (helmets, shoes, etc.), if you want to build the Uber team see Bling Bling for more details after you are done with the campaign and ready to take the team online.

DO NOT spend any money on juicong your players until the Div 1 championship. I know kind of defeats the purpose of the name of the achievement but like I said buggy in many ways.

I can not stress the words Training Upgrades enough. This is the reason for the coach selection, you need to get the most training gains ASAP.

Your rookie an veteran always have priority and do not mess with them unless the training says week 1/3.

Select the 2 metods of training that have the highest stats for each of them. This is what I did:

QB starts with B- Train Arm Strength and Acc
LB starts with C+ Train Tackling and Agility

When assigning the training you will also notice a +(2-5) next to the stat gauge. I have news for you +5 is the max, but continue to upgrade training equipment even beyond that for good measure.

Do not train LB Raymer for he will be replaced by Battaglia and do not train WR Ashwin he will be replaced by Tito Mass.

To get a player to A+ you need to have 4 stats over 90, im not sure of the exact number but over 90 seems to be where the sweet spot is, thats right 3 stats gets you an A, 4 gets you A+, this is where the timing part comes in, so plan on that. Don't believe me look at Mass's stats when you get him on the team as an A+. If you get your player to the point where youre at 96-97 dont bother increasing that stat anymore the training will not be used to its full potential.

Upgrading the equipment your rookie and vet are CURRENTLY training in is the priority on spending.

Remember this: TURN AUTO SAVE OFF

If a player gets injured, you lose a training slot, if a player gets traded (see above), you lose a training slot.

Durring the course of your 33 game campaign remember this: You can not get L33T if you want Juiced, its not possible in anyway what so ever. I will explain more when I get to Div 1.

Your QB and LB can not have any unleashed moves happen (by the opposing team, feel free to unleash against your opponent all you want) to them at any time for any reason or your grade will drop faster than the DOW in late 2008 even with high stats (remember this game is buggy). Do not allow any dirty hits to them either, you may get lucky with one or two but any more it will definetly drop. Always check their grades after each game to insure their grades do not drop before moving to the next game.

Do not worry about winning every single game, just 7 of them each season and the championship, CASH is your top priority in every game.

First you will need to use the Whale tactics in every game, you dont necisarily have to get $250k in each game, arround $180k-$220k will do in every game.

This will get you through Div 3 and Div 2.

Now just as you thought everything is going normal after winning Div 2 and your rook and vet are at A ranks you get some setbacks.

You lose your vet for game 1 in Div 1 only, no way arround this, but luckly no loss in grade either.

On game one of Div 1 The rookie is your concern, big time, In the story Sands injures your rook in the game, and guess what his grade drops faster than the stock market did on black friday 1929.

Some people say fake FG this some people say running play this or that, guess what its all bullshit, Sands will injure your rook no matter what if he even touches the field once, no matter what. Remember Sands finds a dirty way to injure him, it can be on the sidelines in the 4th qtr. If youre thinking I made it to 0:01 in the 4th and rook is still ok, guess what, still happens, dont let anything mislead you.

This is why I can not stress enough why the QB must be your rook. This is why you can not get L33T, you can only use one play PUNT (away to the other team). Now youre thinking well I should have picked a RB or WR if this is the case, it isnt. The WR and RB pop up at random on a PUNT, therefore the chance for injury is still there.

Call me a liar if you want, it took me 3 additional campaigns at 985/1000 to figure this out.

So in all QB rook, nothing but punt away, and lose game 1 of Div 1.

Now on to game 2-championship of Div 1. Play like I said before, check the stats after the 1st encounter with the nightmare and so on and so on.

For encounter 2 with the nightmare (I think it's game 6) they are still the toughest team and you want to avoid injuries. If you notice your rook has been playing the whole time but the story line tells you otherwise. Do not worry about the cutscene, it means nothing.

Now that you have been working on youe stats the whole time your rook and vet should have A+ between the 2nd game against the Reign or before starting the Div 1 championship.

Now this is where the 2nd attempt pissed me off. You must have A+ on both rook and vet before starting the Div 1 Championship game. If they get it after the game it does not count toward the achievement.

I hope this guide helps, please feel free to comment on my ranting or long drawn out description but this was all for 15G and pushed my sanity to the end with little or no online guides or support (do remember that there are less than 100 tracked gamers that have this). Had to learn a new lesson every campaign attempt and played through over 100 possibilities in div 1 game 1 to figure this out.

Good luck, you'll need it, and maybe more than one try.

I got juiced and L33T at the same time. Though I played the game fully on the xbox version. This achivement came more naturally for me.

If youre good on defense and can score defensively and win against the nightmare in game 1 div 1 it is, but the odds go down signifigantly. I wrote this guide to obtain this achievement with the highest posibility of getting it.

Nothing is fullproof but I believe when the odds ore over 99% against you I concider it not possible. It's simpler that way.

Hey, you say "don't juice until div 1" but is there anything wrong with using the legal drugs with no negative effects (like Andersol, Triolophene and Flax Seed Oil)?

Use what you want when you want but the training is your top priority, be sure you have enough cash.

Aaah, I see. I'm on game 4 of div 1 and both the rook and vet are A, so we'll have to wait and see.

If they are at A be sure to beef up a 4th stat enough. Remember the jucing doesnt count. Needs to be done through training.

What week did you end up getting the achievement?

Some people have reported as early as the second encounter with the Seattle reign but I got it on the game before the championship.

Do you happen to remember what weeks your Rookie and Vet hit A+?

YES!!! FINALLY!! I finally got this achievment today after 100 million playthroughs of the campaign and 4 or so months, then finally found this guide and it worked. I def gave this guide/solution a positive review. Only one thing I did different, which you could possibly add in the guide if you want or not, and that was on week 7 of division 1 I juiced both my rook and vet with Ultranol (NOTE: they were both at "A" rank and were really close to 90% on the third and fourth trained ablility, this is why I juiced), and the achivo popped after game 8! Only weird thing is I checked their stats after the game and it showed my Rook at "A+" and my Vet at "A", but still got the achievement. Although that is really weird, I do not give a DAMN, because I have it now. LOL... I feel like I should party or something.

Congrats man. Ultranol can help in the final weeks but I never liked the false stats. Believe it or not some people swore by that you needed that some didn't.

I will add this as a side note in the walkthrough I'm working on. Thx for the input.

Fake field goal works, just don't do it the whole game. In the first quarter try to run up the score using fake field goal and your defense. After that PUNT the ball every time you get it. Your defense should be so good by the time you get to D1 you can stop them every time. I have beaten the game multiple times and this has worked every time for me

Awesome guide as for the most part it worked flawlessly for me. Just one thing to add which may give others hope. I ended up getting the achievement AFTER the DIV 1 championship game. And I see you emphasized that you need A+ before. I juiced my rookie I think in game 8 or 9 with the drugs that added to those last 2 stats that were close to 90. Finally got this time consuming (2-3 years) achievement.

i just got it today and it popped after the first game of div 1 (vs the nightmare) i went through the whole game punting. the funny thing is is that my vet was shock the DE and my rook was jonas the WR. the key to this is making as much cash as possible and whatever stats ur training u should be working on. For example if you put agility on your rook u should do agile actions on the field such as dodging and juking... use lots of juicing it does in fact work if ur constantly doing it as the cycle ends.... got it on my second run through

I earned this achievement when I lost the Division 2 Championship.(Minnesota Reapers) I was kinda suprised when it popped up after the game. My rook ( Jonas) was an A+ a few games before the Div 2 championship. My vet ( Lawless) was an A, and he was on his 3 week of training when I played against them. I got this achievement on my 2nd playthrough.

Nice guide. I assume your reference to "black friday 1929" is really for black tuesday 1929, right? Or were there some crazy post-Thanksgiving sales that year?

:-p

Thanks for the guide!

When you talk about the dirty hits is it one or two a game? No one or two through the 33 games? I'm having a hard time not letting him get dirty hits on him.

I would advise not letting him get hit but you can get away with one or two. This game was not ported/converted well form the XB to the 360. Its hard to say due to the bugginess of the game.

Juicing makes this a lot easier. The only thing you have to worry about is getting fined or having your player go insane and loosing a grade. To avoid this just juice normally and take a week off before juicing again. I juiced both my players and never got fined and they never lost a grade this way.

I kept my rookie (QB) from being injured and won the first game against NY by doing only fake field goal runs. I had him for the rest of the season and was able to keep training him up.

If you're like me & choose a WR as my rookie. During kickoffs, done it by giving myself safety's every kickoff. Was Left with 3 seconds on the clock in the 4th quarter. Sat in the endzone until there was 0 seconds & jumped for a safety. There was no cutscene injury. The achievement unlocked after game stats. Lost 0-103.

If you found yourself having control of the ball mid field. Punt the ball at max. Ball will bounce a few extra yards & it takes time off of the clock. Hope your WR rookie doesn't get taken out in the process. Then on Defense. Do your best trying to give Nightmares 1st downs but not scoring. Don't forget to stay away from turning the ball over at all costs. Forgot that in the 4th quarter. My vet position was a LB.

That's my 2 cents. Thank you Titanus Ferrum thanks for the excellent guide.

I am playing through for L33t. My rookie is HB. I did the fake field goal method as a test and it played the cutscene of him getting hurt in the 2nd quarter but the player is still available after the game.

Rookie and Vet were both A+ after game 7 of division 1. Juiced popped for me after the 8th game of Division I.

I was able to get Juiced and L33t in the dame campaign.

Ok, I just got it and I will share some insights. My setup was the same as this solution (coaches, QB, LB).
For the QB, I went for Arm Acc, Arm Str, Speed and Resist Injury
For the LB, I went for Tackling, Agility, Speed and Resist Injury.
Resist Injury was already over 90, and all other stats were the highest for each player at the start.
QB was always training Speed and alternating between Arm acc and str each 3 weeks cycle.
LB training was changing each cycle as needed.

Get a lot of money, it's easy in Div 3 and 2 to destroy your opponent and get on average $200K. Buy the training equipments of these skills first so your players always have a +5 of the skill each cycle. Only after, you can buy a level of other skills (the other players would love to have improved training equipment).

Avoid the dirty hits on your rookie at all cost. Even 1 dirty hit in a game can drop a skill (my QB went from A to B for a single dirty hit in div 2, I could reload and replay the game). I had 2 dirty hits during div 3 before realizing this, I could probably have gotten the achievement sooner. So, to be safe, check your stats after each game before saving.

It's possible to win the game against the Nightmare only with fake FG run/pass with the rookie QB, but it shouldn't be a priority.

The equipment (shoes, gloves, etc.) do improve your skills. In my case, only the shoes (+speed, +agility) could help me.

With that, my LB was A+ at week 11 of div 2, before the championship game.
My QB got A+ at week 6 of div 3.
15 years after starting the game.

This guide is specifically for choosing what stats to boost; the guide by Titanius Ferrum is excellent for the general path to getting the achievement.

So: I can confirm that you most definitely need 4 stats above 90 to get your players to A+. However, we have a secret weapon: Resist Injury. It counts as a stat, and is already at the correct level when you start. Therefore, you only need to focus on 3 stats.

Where I differ from the previous guide is in what order I train in. I realized that if I focused only on the two next highest stats for each player, that there would be a chance that time would run out before a third could be leveled up.

My strategy was to train my player in one high stat from the beginning, and whichever Stat would be my third. For the QB, I began with arm accuracy, and chose speed due to it being higher up. For the safety, I focused on agility and tackling. Whichever 3rd you choose, just make sure it's reasonably high, and that you get +5 every cycle.

As soon as my high stat got over 90, I switched to the other highest star as soon as possible. This is arm strength for the QB, speed for the safety. At the same time, the third stat has been steadily increasing.

The final hurdle was the veteran. Because he sits out one game, his training cycle gets put off by one week. However, as long as you're on your final stats training, you should be okay to go. He just won't hit A+ at the same time as the rookie.

The achievement popped for me after the 6th Division 1 game. I had made sure that my rookie didn't get the scripted injury, so remember to keep your L33T and Juiced playthroughs separate.

Be sure to have auto-save off or you’ll need to return to the dashboard after every training session. Each time you train you’ll have a chance to buy mystery supplements. These range from the worthless Viagra that does nothing for your characters on field development to the Superman pill that increases their strength by 25. The problem is you won’t know what the pills do until you purchase them. So every third week purchase one for each of your players if it increases the right attribute exit and save, and if it is the wrong attribute exit and reload. The pills constantly change. Also and more importantly be sure to upgrade the training equipment for the attribute you need to work on. This is the best way to get them up and keep them there.
