How to unlock the Manvalanche achievement in Blitz: The League - Definitive Guide

The achievement description sounds simple but I am going to provide a guide because the tactics that go behind this achievement will be needed for others later on.

The achievement can be obtained by the team total sacks per game, not just the veteran. I found this out when my veteran had 10 but the team total was 13. I used the Veteran LB and lined him up next to the linemen set to rush the QB for this in the Crush or Cover formations. Which formation you use is entirely up to you.

To start you will need to play lots of offense very quick and run the score up. This will cause the opponent to loosen up on potential blockers and place them wide out.

The CPU will start picking speed plays at the end of the 1st half and all during the 4th quarter if you have a dominating lead and they will go for it on 4th down. This is where the most sacks will come in. If you only have 4 sacks or so at the end of the 1st half don’t worry, you’ll get plenty at in the 4th quarter if you have run the score up enough.

Another thing of importance is to not allow the CPU to gain too much clash as to where they can evade you. I find that after I score the onside kick is the best option. Be sure to stop them right after they get the ball or even force a fumble. Kicking it out of bounds is ok too, they won’t get any clash for it.

You also need to use dirty hits while sacking, this will slow the QB down while you’re rushing for him. When you sack the QB and cause a loss in yardage you will gain clash so do not worry about conserving it.

I hope this tactic is helpful, you will need this for further achievements and if you hear me refer to Manvalance tactics this is about it.

On a side note if the QB manages to throw the ball take out the receiver before he gets it, this will save some time for you to get more and there is no pass interference in this game anyway.

finally, after like 4 days I got this achievement. I was hesitant to do dirty hits because the CPU would use clash, win in overtime, or keep breaking tackles. I would always get like 10 or 11 sacks while trying to prolong the game I just picked the same play everytime. it was Prevent, Cover 1 or 2 and Far. use your Veteran LB and always blitz from the right. I got it during my first game against Arizona.

If you do not get it early it is hard to get. However if you do I found it easy the first time you face the devils in division 1. After the 1st quarter they usually start doing speed plays and if you blitz you or one of your guys should get him.

I don't understand how you're suppose to get so many sacks in 8 minutes.

Running the ball especially without a full clash meter in this game really isn’t an option. The computer plays the game even on the hard level with that knowledge impressed upon its AI. Therefore you should take full advantage of this fact on defense. Always set up in a “Cover” defense meaning only two defensive lineman and if available the “Far” or “Invade” formation. Move the left DE to the left of the screen and blitz. The quarterback will almost always roll to his right. Quickly switch to your Safety or LB and dive. You don’t need to be in actual diving distance to tackle him. Doing an Unleash or Dirty Hit will almost always work even if you are far outside the actual diving distance to sack him. If he does manage to throw the ball remember there is no such thing as pass interference in Blitz. With your “Cover” setup you’ll have DB’s and Safety’s all over the field so quickly switch to one of them and destroy the intended receiver before the ball arrives. I’ve been able to get 42 sacks in one game.
