Injured Quentin Sands in Division 1

How to unlock the Tables Turn achievement in Blitz: The League - Definitive Guide

I have done this twice now, so I can confirm this works.

Though it says "Division 1," as far as I know, this can only be done in the championship game; the final game in the game vs the NY Nightmare.

The player you are gunning for is #56: Quentin Sands. If you remember, he knocked you out for half the season in game 1 of division 1, so it's time for some payback.

You MUST injure him with the ROOKIE. Which pretty much means you need to have the QB rookie (Wescott). I don't know if the other two rookies are capable of doing this.

Once you have full UNLEASHED, move your QB up until the opportunities to pass to your players (When you see the B, X or Y prompts above their heads) is gone, now bullrush Sands and push up on the right stick to plow through him. Once that play is complete, you should see a brief cutscene of him being carried off the field. You don't get the achievement YET, but you will after the game.

(Note that on multiple tries, this did NOT work in the first quarter. However, on each of the times that this worked, it was in the second quarter. Anyone saying they got it in 1st quarter is either lying or got it under crazy circumstances.)

It's WAAAAAAAY easier than the ratio makes it out to be. You just have to be in at least the 2nd quarter, have full unleashed, and time your juke (right stick movement) right.

I would say pick a offensive play where you have 2 RB's in the backfield to help block the defensive lineman that come at you so you have an easier time getting a clean run towards Sands. Great guide holding up on the right stick while using clash worked great.

This achievement is for injuring Quentin Sands. After looking everywhere and couldnt find a consistent answer, I finally unlocked the achievment and it wasnt that difficult after all. So I decided to share how I got it and hopefully it helps.

First the details: Quentin Sands #56 is on the NY Nightmare, you must have FULL UNLEASHED with your rookie, Although you play the Nightmare 3 times in Division 1, you cannot injure him until the Championship game.

Now here is how I did it: my rookie was the RB. After getting FULL UNLEASHED, I selected the first running play under the "balanced" formation. If you dont know, Sands is the middle LB. This running play blocked all the lineman and the cornerbacks so it was just me and Sands. Now use UNLEASHED and press Up on the right stick. This will cause a stiffarm to Sands. If done correctly, there will be a cutscene showing that he got injured. Now finish the game and "achievement unlocked". I got this real quick in the first quarter on my first try. Most important thing is to have FULL UNLEASHED. Hope this helps and good luck...

I used the play "Seal Toss" play under the "balalance formation. this play works perfectly. I had to go behind the line of scrimmage to find Quentin Sands. it took me a few tries. Great Solution. Thanks. ")

So after browsing through the other solutions here, I noticed none of them mentioned anything about the rookie being a WR, so I thought, "man, I am just thoroughly boned." Boy was I wrong. As it turns out, there are 2 potential ways to obtain this achievement as the WR, although I'd like to point out that the other positions are likely much easier.

Your first option requires you to have an Unleash meter and be on the receiving end of a kickoff, AND the Nightmare must kick the ball to your rookie. Once those conditions are met, "simply" wander around with him until you see Sands (#56), enter Clash and right stick up his ass into the turf, much in the same manner as the other solutions have detailed. This is the way I got this achievement, and, as an added bonus, with 0:23 left in the 1st and before some of the cinematics had taken place (lol).

Option 2, as a friend of mine pointed out (Thanks Uuuuuwweeaaaah!), one of the trick plays, I believe it's called PA WR Pass, can be flipped using right trigger so that your rookie is pitched the ball to pass it down field. Theoretically (I have not actually tested this, but it should work), at that point rush at Sands as detailed in Doominatorx6's solution and boom.

ok, here it is..

there are a couple of cutscenes coming when you are on offense in the first quarter.
the cheerleader shows
sands moking around
sands getting angry cause the plays werent in the book sands going after the veteran and the rookie steps in between
these all showed in the first quarter for me. i unleashed on sand and the last cutscene showed.

after the game the achievement popped.

is just a matter of triggering all the cutscenes i believe...

** This Solution is for QB Rookie **

This achievement can ONLY be done in the Divison 1 Championship game, so you have a long way to go before you can even attempt it.

What must be done with the QB is the QB juke with FULL UNLEASHED on Quentin Sands (LT's character). He is the MIDDLE Linebacker and his # is 56. The trick here is to get him to rush the passer when you have FULL UNLEASHED.

When the game starts, try and build up towards unleashed. On offense, juke rushers with your QB, Clash Catch with your WR and Juke with your WR. Doing this can earn 3-4 Clash Icons PER PLAY. On Defense, Dirty Hit and hope for Injury's or Turnovers. Once you get Unleashed on Offense, pick a Throwing play that doesn't allow anyone in the backfield. Look for #56 before you hike the ball. Roll out to the right and try to draw him in to an open area so it is ONE on ONE. When he rushed you, HOLD Left Trigger to enter Clash and press the Left Stick in the according direction to preform the QB Juke. Quentin should be flipped over by you and once the play is over, you should see a cutscene of him getting carted off.

Finish the game and you got your achievement! If you didn't get it, LOSE the game and it will allow you to replay the game.

This is a tough one. You need to have a full Unleash meter and Unleash on Quentin Sands (aka Lawrence Taylor #56 for the Nightmare) during any of your three games against him while in Division 1. To avoid the injury that he will inflict on you during your first Division one game. Don’t take the field with your Rookie. Set up for field goals and audible out. If your Rookie takes the field after the first play is over Quentin will perform a nasty late hit on him and injure him for six – eight games. If you are going for the undefeated achievement it will be tough to defeat them using only your special teams but just stick to the clock management, and Manvalanche tactics and you should be okay.
