How to unlock the Underdog achievement in Blitz: The League - Definitive Guide

This is quite easy actually. Just use the Manvalanche defense setup and you should be able to stop the Nightmare if you don’t get the ball first. If you do get the ball first go straight into “Clock Management” waste all 15 seconds before selecting a play, and all 10 seconds before the ball is snapped. Use “Power-Toss” and be sure to dive and not get tackled to prevent a fumble or dirty hit. In one possession without any first downs you can waste an entire half.

This Achievement really isn't as difficult as it may sound. To earn this Achievement, I recommend using the Hammerheads, and setting the quarter length to 1 minute (don't forget to ensure you're on Hard difficulty).
I stuck with a single defense through the whole game and it served me quite well - Cover: Man Up. I started with control of the left lineman, and when the QB stepped into the clear, there was usually a linebacker in the vicinity that could swoop in for the tackle. Use dirty hits (LT + A) as much as possible. Sometimes you can force the ball loose.
On offense, focus on getting one touchdown. That will be all you need if you can stop the Nightmare's drive and eat up the clock on running plays or passes for first downs. The key is to keep the ball out of their offense's possession as much as you can.
