How to unlock the Survival of the fittest achievement in Blood Bowl - Definitive Guide

Today I got Survival of the fittest, Cracked skull, Foul play and Veni, vidi, vici ! within one and a half hours.

The trick is that I imported my orc team from campaign (so this does only work with bashy teams, as one might guess anyway).
I had 3 Black Orcs with Block and Mighty Blow, also 4 Blitzers with Tackle and Mighty Blow. They also had some other skills as well as my Linemen had Block and some random skills, but those are the important ones. You should try to get those while going for the campaign achievement.

Then create a goblin team in campaign and add 16 normal goblins. Make sure you don't hire an apothecary for this team. Then save and quit.

Start a one-off match, Blitz mode real-time on easy or medium, and edit the match rules first. Up the time limit to 8 minutes and deactivate all special rules (you don't want massive inductions for the other teams or the get the ref or riot kick-off events).
Import your orc team and the goblin opponents from your save games.

During the game, get yourself the ball, bring your ball carrier to the middle of the pitch and set all your players to the middle mode (not offensive/defensive), so that they come to the middle of the pitch. Most of the gobbos will attack your bulk of orcs and get smashed, all you have to do is watch your ball carrier and recapture the ball if your carrier falls.
If many of the goblins are KO'ed, you should score some TD's and set up again, so that the goblins can recover. You should also foul grounded goblins whenever possible for some extra KO's/casualties.
Also try not to lose the ball (neither score a TD) after the 4 minute time of the half is up, because time will run on for up to one minute if you keep the ball on your player (more time to smash those goblins).

These four achievements still require some luck, so repeat this one-off match procedure until you have them all.

You should give a little more description on your team like: What base level were your orcs? Did they have any modifiers? You say to foul whenever you can, but what of the referee? Won't you get sent to the bench and have less orcs to run around with?

With two important skills each, they would have to be at least level 3, which is not hard to obtain during campaign mode. Modifiers like str or agi are not important against goblins that only have a base str of 2.

You don't have to care about the ref sending your players off, because this will happen less often than the casualties/KOs against the goblins so your team will most likely have more players on the pitch. And if you foul with your linemen or throwers (which one would do as they are the less important players) then your most important players stay on the pitch anyway.

Just some notes:
If the opponent die doing a dodge action or a bad attack will not count for your kills, need to be done in your turn!

I did with my lizard team from campaing against a skaven team that I made with 16 no skills rats

Good Luck, you will need!

I got this achievement and cracked skull in two games .

I was useing the Stock orcland raiders team against a lizard team of,16 skinks the little lizards .

I was averaging 6 knockouts in the first half in both my attempts first I went for kills second match went for knock outs .

I sent my players in a line with only the spot either side of the wingers open that way no one got a free run .

This game is not random so if you don't get a knockout or a kill in round one restart when ever someone scores save as long as you feel you have enough kills or knockouts by that time .

I let them score on the second last play which gave me one last turn to get 2 knockouts I had to restart a number of times but eventually I learned what move got me a KO and what didn't than I just did those
two moves .

I also got 8 injures in these games I already had that achievement however .

If you start to kill or injury to many opponents I suggest reloading a save and not doing that move .

It might take you a few goes but this is by far the best way I found you don't need to make a team and as soon as you know what moves to do what you want and you should have no trouble unlocking this pain of an achievement .

Edit: 02 Dec 2011. Achievement received amazingly not by the method above or my method (I tried both several times). I got this while playing campaign towards unlocking the Blood Bowl against a Human team. I actually killed the Ogre and then later I got 3 Human player kills in 30 seconds. It was astounding. I guess Humans are very soft and fleshy.

Note: I have this same guide for Interceptor Captor, Pass Buster!, Thanks I Did That With One Arm, Survival of the Fittest, and Simply the Best...
It's more of a tip really.
When you play on Turn Based Mode you can save mid-game at 2 different occurences: Half-time and after a touchdown via Start Button, Save Game. Key times to save: after a touchdown, and especially after a successful interception followed by a touchdown or half-time. It allows you to re-try over and over until you get it then next 1 or 2 interceptions.
Also if you kill a lot of players before a touchdown or before halftime, save so you can try to kill enough the next half.
In regards to the difficulties and the "classic mode", if you play enough you will notice one thing about turn-based mode: dice rolls are NOT random! Shocking eh? It's true. Follow my guidelines to a T and you will see I am correct.
What this means.
You can try strategies to see if they work, if not, they never will, reload and try something else.
If you do the exact same sequence of events, i.e. player movement, exact squares moved to, players attacked, the die results will be exactly the same also. If you change 1 thing like order you move your players, the squares your players move to/move through, the die roll changes. Try different things until you get die rolls in your favour and then save after the next touchdown. Save touchdown to touchdown with this method and you can handly win games and have an easier time with the 2 interception achievements. Yes I don't have them yet as of 09 July 2011, however I will soon by using this method don't worry.
