How to unlock the Mergo's Wet Nurse achievement in Bloodborne - Definitive Guide

Story-related and unmissable. Mergo's Wet Nurse is the final boss of the Mergo's Loft area of the game, and this boss fight is triggered by approaching the cradle at the top of the big circular arena at the top of the area.

Mergo attacks swiftly and frequently with her many knives, but fortunately she has a narrow region directly behind her where the majority of her attacks will not hit here. Stay in this region right behind here (not at her side!) and you will be OK for most of the fight – you can even attack while she is attacking most of the time.

The Wet Nurse becomes most dangerous when she lets off a purple aura that turns the entire arena dark. The darkness lasts quite a while (about a 45 seconds or so), and Mergo can summon a clone of herself to attack you during this portion of the fight. Do not try to attack Mergo much while this is going on; instead, just focus on staying alive and keeping your health topped off. Once the darkness fades away, resume attacking her from behind. This boss was so easy I was SHOCKED when she didn't come back for a second phase!

Tip: don't try to hit her during the nightmare phase, keep dodging left or right but be aware that she will anticipate your algorithm. do well timed dodges

Mergo's Wet Nurse - Defeat Great One: Mergo's Wet Nurse.

This boss and trophy are fairly easy to unlock, The majority of the attacks are easy to dodge and after them there is time to run in for a quick hit or two. When she uses a spell and it becomes foggy to be safe keep running and rolling because another enemy will appear but is only for the duration of the spell.

In no time you will have defeated the boss your trophy should pop! Enjoy!

2 stages. The first boss is quite easy. when we take out about 40-50% of his HP, he will turn on the darkness and his double will appear in it. The double, like the original itself, will carry out a series of attacks. About 12 strikes, very fast. You can get rid of them by rolling. Don't forget the weapon buff. Overall the boss is easy.

An interesting video (with explanations in Russian) about how to kill the boss:

First of all, I don’t know if it was a bug or how it should be, but two randomly summoned phantoms did not enter the arena with the boss for me (maybe they just trolled me).

In the end, I passed on my own. I passed it the first time, it wasn't exactly a difficult boss, but I did get a little sweaty. He hit with a two-handed sword, mostly with charged blows from the back. When the Nurse starts casting darkness/mist, it was sometimes possible to knock him down with the same charged attack. If the cast passed, I simply ran around the arena, clockwise, sometimes rolling if a double spawned near me and immediately attacked. That's all.
Finished the fight with 0 bubbles and 15 HP, but the boss is still easy. The main thing is that the stamina should be enough to dodge the double.

But at the second stage I couldn’t do it, they were plugging her phantoms from all sides. Then I just started running around the diameter of the arena, clockwise or counterclockwise, until the darkness dissipated and the boss was left alone. Well, then the tactics are simple poke and bounce

It’s not really an addition, it’s more like I had a bug - I killed the Nurse, but the trophy wasn’t counted.

Easily taken out with light weapons. We stay close behind us and poke in a series (I poked with one-handed Ludwig). When she swung all her swords, she jumped back and went into battle again. With this tactic there is no 2nd stage. All she does is try to hit the ground.

In the second stage, at first I was not able to quickly find my bearings, but after several hits on the “cap” I remembered the possibility of locking on the target . It was the nurse who captured my target. The sight did not switch to doubles. As a result, like a kamikaze, I rushed at the captured target, ignoring the doubles, and began to hit it point-blank. She delivered few blows in response. I didn't even bother. Half-heartedly, the darkness dissipated. But I did not switch to the tactics I used in the first phase. I continued to hit point blank. The boss couldn't stand for long. Hit with an axe. Attempts to win - 1. The boss seemed easy to me.

The first and so far only boss in this game that I took out on the first try. It's very easy to do. We will need a one-handed weapon and vials of blood. We just run behind him and hit him with regular blows. Sometimes he will hurt you with his circular blows, but we either replenish our health by striking him, or take doping in the form of blood. He never went into the stage of darkness for me, but he seemed to want to, I talked him out of this idea, knocking down his entire mood with my blows.
