To reach the "Blade Gleaming at Sunrise" ending, you need to beat the game after recruiting at least one of the adventurers found at the end of Stage 1/2/3 but not all of them (sacrificing/ignoring at least one of them). The optimal/easiest path would be to recruit Miriam (Stage 1) & Gabel (Stage 3) and sacrifice Albert (Stage 2 – Double jump) since Miriam is one of the strongest characters and both her & Gabel have abilities (Slide and Bat transformation) that let you reach the health/magic upgrades and many shortcuts found during each stage.
Difficulty (Casual/Veteran) does not matter.

To add to your solution, I'd highly recommend doing this in Ultimate Mode. That gets you the fully powered Zangetsu and lets you recruit allies. You get Ultimate by doing the Bad Ending sacrificing all the recruits.

IMHO better option is Albert and Miriam. Albert's ice arrow power + Miriam's axe power are OP against bosses. Boss fights are over in a few seconds.

For this trophy, you'll have to beat the game with at least one ally, but not all 3.
The easiest way, in my opinion, is to kill the first 2 allies and recruit the 3rd.
The first 2 give you the jumping slash attack, and double jump, which will make your life much easier. The third only gives you a command dash which I didn't find nearly as useful.
Doing it this way also makes it easier for you to use the Curse of the Moon and reset back to level 3 to go for another ending (bypassing the first 2 levels).
Once you beat the level 8 boss with your 1 ally, this trophy will unlock

Interesting. I've seen someone suggest recruiting Myriam and killing the others. But the bonuses obtained by keeping Gebel and killing the others makes sense. I will try that, thanks.

To unlock this ending, recruit Miriam and kill Alfred and Gebel when given the opportunity. Continue on and beat the game with Miriam and Zangetsu only. After beating Gremory in Stage 8, this trophy will pop.
