How to unlock the The Brilliant Void achievement in Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon - Definitive Guide

This achievement is story-related and can't be missed.

It will unlock after beating Stage 3 on normal or casual mode on your first playthrough.

This boss is easier to beat than the first one and much easier than the second one.

The pattern for this fight consists of 3 actions:
  • Piles of coins come from one side to the other side of the screen - You must avoid being crushed between the coin piles and the edge of the screen by jumping over the coins;
  • Boss will smash his hands on the floor - To avoid this, simply keep moving and he'll miss, creating a wave of coins that will throw you up without any damage;
  • After smashing the floor, he'll summon a few enemies - Simply jump over any attacks and hit them if possible.
There are two spots in which you can cause damage to this boss: you can either hit the piles of coins (believe me, this will kill him eventually) or hit his head.

To hit the piles of coins, use any standard attack cn_X or special attack cn_Y as they come towards you. Keep jumping over them as you hit so you can go to the other side of the pile.

To hit the boss' head, you can either use the coins as a platform from where you strike with standard attack cn_X or you can use special attacks cn_Y from the floor - the whip for Zangetsu or the Daggers for Miriam. You can also add one or two aditional hits when the coin wave throws you up.

Mixing attacks on the coin piles and in the head is probably the fastest and most efficient way of defeating this boss.

Story related and cannot be missed.

You must beat the third stage, The Brilliant Void.

Near the end of the stage you’ll find the upgrade item, which increases your overall health.

The boss of this stage is a floating money monster named Valefor. Its weakness is its head. The two hands will push mounds of gold from one side to the other you can attack and climb on so you can reach its head. It will also pound the ground when the two hands clasp each other and track you, followed by summoning monsters on either side.

The desperation move on this boss is a bunch of gold falling from the ceiling. There is an open area near the center that will gradually move right and left, so stay in the safe zone and you’ll be fine. When the screen goes all white, you’re good.

At the end of this stage, you have the option of recruiting, leaving or sacrificing Gebel.

Recruit Gebel as part of Those Left Behind
Kill him as part of Emperor of Darkness
Ignore him and move right as part of Nightmare's End
