How to unlock the Demonologist achievement in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - Definitive Guide

Just wanted to offer a tip for Monster #44 since he can be a bit of a... nightmare... just so you know this solution does include a bit of a spoiler so be forewarned!

A good way to defeat it really fast and easy is to run back down the corridor to the left. Once there jump on the platform above the crate. The demon will get stuck in the crate. From there just unleash you best directional magic. I used the one that makes appear a dragon head that breathes fire. I can't remember the name of it.

Would be nice if you explained what you’re talking about when you say “ Now, go trigger the bastard demon by sitting on the train seat and waiting for him to appear.” What does this even mean?

Basically when you get on the train and go all the way to the right where the seats are, right before the locked door (the one you had to go around) with the chest you get a up arrow to sit down. But to spawn the demon, you have to wait until it the screen look like you're blinking through your eyes at the demon in the water. The spawn time somewhere after you come out the trees until you get the castle in your view heading right, going left you have to wait for the same spot. Kill enemies to past the time, you don't have to rush. Use the Inferno Breath directional shard to slow it down and keep it at bay for awhile, you might want to take some panaceas (to remove the curse) and some food or potions to restore large chunks of your health. Pause, remove curse, and heal if you're about to die, can be done after the underground sorcery lab.

Completing the game will probably see you slay almost every demon naturally - all but one. Demon 44 is hidden on the train and is not available to be found on your first ride. After the boss, get back on the train and find the seat by a window in the second carriage. If you switch to a first person view looking through the window when you sit down, you've found the right seat.
Stay there for a while (it'll feel like a long time but it's just a minute or so) and eventually the demon will appear and initiate the fight. It's a tough one, so maybe leave it for last.

An easy way of defeating him is to spawn him, then quickly hop up on that platform between the train cars (just to your right). Once up there, use the spell Tepus Oceus (I know that's probably butchering the name, it's the purple spell shard that sends out seeker-type lightning bolts for 50mp a pop). Spam that spell from up there and he'll go down easily.

Make sure you have the skill shard that gives a chance for you to use 0mp on a spell turned on/set as active. Maybe take a few ethers if your mp total is on the low side.

For the race with the ninja, I don't know if it's just lucky or buggy, but before starting I teleported myself behind the starting line (the ninja didn't move), I did the race to the finish line and I came back to touch the start line. This time the ninja started running but I got the sprint fragment and his archive after he won the race.

Just wanted to add that both of the above comments on this solution still work, and they're both great tips that saved a lot of time and frustration.

How damn convenient that when I go for this, that certain shard to fight it, is just gone. I know I had it, and I don't sell shards. My luck.

This is unlocked by beating every Demon at least once. The only one I had trouble with was O.D. I found a pretty easy way of beating him on YouTube. Use the Bolide Blast directional attack after shifting so he's on the ceiling. This will stun him and do a lot of damage in the process. Just keep hitting him with it, but make sure you're stocked up on mana regenerating items. I used lemonade and regular mana potions. I did not use any food on this fight.

Video guide for those having trouble understanding the location:

I'd highly recommend equipping Ring of Solomon (increased shard drop) & Infernal Breath (for an easy kill). As soon as it spawns, you can Invert, stick yourself in the corner and melt this one demon. Hopefully you get lucky with the shard drop too! Took me 2 tries to get that one.

I opened the map 100% and for a long time could not understand why some demons were still closed. Below is a list of those instances that I personally had difficulty finding/winning:
#044 - Kun-kun. Found on the train, return there after defeating the evil demon driving the train. You need carriages that have seats. If you don’t rush past them headlong (as I did), you will see that you can sit on one of the seats. Your character will look out the window and gradually fall asleep until he sees some kind of silver effigy in the window. That's what we need. Kun-kun puts a curse on the character and hits him quite painfully + he has quite a lot of HP, so I advise you to stock up on heals. Gives a fragment that increases resistance to curses.
#97 - Ravager. (See next paragraph) Found in the “Lair of Monsters”, in a location equipped for obstacle racing. To defeat him, you need to outrun him. I couldn't manage to do this during the story, so I left it for later. In the end, I overtook him using a time stop, which the secret boss kindly provided me with. (See next point). Gives a fragment of acceleration as a reward.
#127 — Orlok Drak, a secret boss that you can fight only after completing the story and performing certain actions:
1. You need to open the card 100%
2. After this, talk to the librarian and take the book “Tome of Conquest” from him
3. Move to the “Ice Tomb” location, having previously saved and purchased food and healing.
The boss hits very hard and has a lot of health. Beware of his grabs, jump and dodge when he becomes invisible or turns into a bat, otherwise he will sink his fangs into your neck and will not leave you until your character dies. As a reward you will receive a time stop fragment.

About "Kun-kun". His curse only works when you are facing him. The easiest way to kill: after he appears, run to the left, climb onto the boxes so that he cannot reach you and use spells, still turning away from him. I did this with a drill sword.

Orlok-Drak does not need a 100% map; he will decide to kill you for not returning the book to him.

Regarding the "Ravager": you can overtake it without first killing Orlok Drak. You need to put on the “Wanderer’s Belt”, which improves gliding, make yourself a high jump (the feather is farmed from the “Haagenti” bull) and put on the “Aegis-Shell” so as not to receive damage from traps.
In such a setup, overtaking him is not difficult.

Guys 103 to 106 are in a secret location, the entrance to which is in the room in front of the stairs to Jibel (on the ceiling). You will find the key there too.
And about the Destroyer - use the reflective beam more often in the process. Even without a pumped-up beam, the race will be easier.

Got what I needed for the battle with O.D. the tome immediately after defeating Gremory, with the map 98% open, so either 100% is not necessary, or it was one of the bugs that was fixed by the patch.

#127 After defeating OD (Orlok Drak), return to his lair and take all the tomes at once, more than 30 of them. This will help you get platinum much faster. In general, the boss is easy if you hit him from the ceiling with spells. Try to kill him as soon as possible. Having 100% of the card is not necessary, I killed him by 98%

I’ll add about the latest tome from OD, the latest information at the moment. There is no need to open the card 100%, I checked it myself. It was 99.80, I went and took the tome, then fought the boss. It is enough, as said above, to defeat Gremory.

Monster #44 kun-kun is easily killed if you put on sunglasses in advance. You can calmly look at him and kill him while sitting on the box

O.D is not as complicated as it seems. If you have a Jackpot shard and a huge sword that hits with a flourish. After entering the room, we immediately make a coup and run to the end of the room and sit down. He won't get you in any way. We spam Jackpot and hit with a sword from time to time and that’s it.

A dash in the list of demons means the absence of a fragment, no need to knock it out, extra. the location through the rune plate does not require passage.
Orlok Brawl can be spammed with a trident attack, he will be stunned for a bit, periodically jump over him, and repeat the attack.

I’ll add about O.D.’s latest tome: to get it, you must open the entire map 100%. I personally checked before and after closing the map - the tome appears only after 100% closure, and the battle with it begins only if you just take this very tome - he, in the process, doesn’t care about the rest of the books.
I’ll also add regarding the battle with O.D: the easiest and most effective way to kill him is with the very last crafted firearm (spike pistol) and very cool bullets (diamond, critical bullets, etc.), and also use points to display HP and a blue “Accelerator” fragment.
As soon as O.D. turns invisible to catch you - jump like a saiga using the "Accelerator". In my case, he was never able to catch, he only dealt one-time damage, like per hit.
