How to unlock the Item Collector achievement in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - Definitive Guide

As stated in the description, you'll need to obtain at least one of every item in the game. This includes armor, weapons, accessories, items, food, etc. However, I wanted to list some stuff that should help others.

Are Boss Medals required?

I don't guess, because I don't know what Boss Medals are. Can you give me an example?

Boss medals are earned when defeating a boss without taking a hit. It’s an old Metroidvania styled reward but if you don’t have hem, then I guess they’re not needed for the achievement.

I have encountered an issue with this unlock. I don’t think anyone else has suffered it thankfully but despite filling out the lists with 100% of everything even techniques, all hairstyles and the books...no achievement. My last items that I recall were Hellhorse Mane, Demon Horn and then the Demon Horns headgear.

This was near the end of a New Game Plus on Hard mode playthrough. I did not have all the demons or shards, beat the game then got those thinking maybe it thought the shards were items or something but...nadda.

I’m currently working on leveling and getting the gold necessary to make the 16/32 bit versions of each weapon just in case. I can’t figure out what it’s not counting and I hope it’s just a temporary Xbox Live bug (other achievements after had no trouble unlocking). I have been victim to glitches that aren’t common but generally at least someone else has suffered it.

Unfortunately it’s the hefitiest of the achievements in this game so the lower number of unlocks is probably just due to that. Sigh...I know that the Overlord achievement is bugged but getting this too...and one guy reporting it won’t make a dev budge.

Sorry to hear it glitched on you TVthePunisher, courtesy of your comment though I made sure I kept a save before crafting the final item. Worked fine for me, no Boss Medals needed.

Thanks Musha, through some effort I loaded up an earlier save and made plenty of backups all down the list as I made progress. By the end I had saved about five items to craft in each category and one to buy in the shop. It popped on Garbo Hat. For some reason my first save and old game didn’t count the last item I had made and refused to count it any after.

So I guess everyone just make sure to keep decent backups on your way to making your final items in this achievement!

Mines glitched too, The glasses you get from O.D don't count when I pick them up. I've made a save outside his room ready for a patch but tbh I don't see it happening.

New update adds extra items required for existing acheivements

Just going from that post. Seems that may have broken a few achievements.

some Materials you can buy at the shop (was at 98% Materials and then bought all the ones that you can from the shop and now I'm at 100% materials)

Well, I have to do a 2nd playthrough; one of the material items glitched as it says I only have 99% while everything else is at 100%. And I got every single material item.

Just a quick note that if you're trying to itemize what you've not unlocked from the in-game list, the list at Xelliz' suggested site at https://gamewith.net/bloodstained-ritual-of-the-night is terribly out of order for all weapons and armor. IGN's list at https://www.ign.com/wikis/bloodstained-ritual-of-the-night/E... seems to be in proper order, or a video like the one at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6acy_NnmnW0 for just the full list straight-up in game.

Is DLC required to 100%? Or is it a glitch? After multiple completions & having every item, food, ammunition & weapons (including all the 8bit, 16bit & 32bit upgrades for all weapons) discount card was not much help like farming items to sell.
But after years this achievement still doesn't work.

I have not played since completing the game, but at that time there was no DLC, so it was definitely not required.

It seems that you must HIT some enemy with the technique in order to it count, I've found them all but it's stuck in 80%.

Just unlocked this recently and thought I'd mention that it happened when the item percentage reached 100%. So in your Journal, the column that makes up that item percentage is what you need to have all 100%s in for the achievement to unlock.

It only requires the 8-bit version of each weapon to complete the weapon list and the Techniques are not required, thankfully. I only had one mastered (for that particular achievement) and this unlocked.

Don't forget ammo counts. Spent an extra 20 mins doing all the techniques until I got to the last one which you can't perform without DLC. Checked the ammo tab and facepalmed hard.

I think I found my problem - it's the Gaap enemy from teh oriental Sorcery lab. When I grab the Demon's Horn or Wing form it, whichever I got first wouldn't add to my percentage of Materials. I made a separate save after collecting it, but when I reloaded a previous save and got both Demon Horn and Demon Wing, my material percentage went from 83% to only 84%.

On a second attempt, the first item dropped by Gaap was the Demon Wing, and when I picked it up, I was STILL at 83% for materials. Make sure to save before going to the OSL and make dman sure the first material you grab from the Gaap is the Demon Wing ONLY because late rin the game this material piece is dropped by the Giant Bat. The Demon's Horn can only be gained by the Gaap, so I think that was where I went wrong in my first playthrough.

There are a few hidden treasures located in the Twin Dragon tower that won't appear on your breakable wall detector as they are in open, yet hidden, chests. Also where you fight
there will be a hidden tiara on the left side of the chips, its obscured purposely.

Also be aware each of the secret bosses carries a special material

Your best way is to get 1 and keep dismantling, then using that material over and over.

There was a bug at the beginning of the game's release, and if you downloaded the patch at the time you started the game, there may be some issues with the loss of some items (I didn't get a few hairstyles and a few recipes). The problem is solved by NG+.

The most boring trophy.
1. I need money. are earned by breaking lanterns between rooms.
2. I need recipes. You'll have to check the list in the archive and some resource on the internet to see what's missing and where to find it.
3. ingredients and materials are needed. Preferably 2-3 pieces of each.
Well, then (3-4 hours of fun X)) we run between the seller and the alchemist (at the same time breaking lanterns with maximum luck) and what was stolen will appear in the store. We buy, disassemble for materials and craft what is missing, and so on until victory

The addition to the tip from @Shm is incorrect, at least on the current patch. A discount card is needed for the trophy. The trophy fell out exactly after its purchase.

If you don’t have enough money for consumables, feel free to sell the fragments, because... This is the last trophy in the game.
Bullets also need to be crafted once. The Dominica Medal and Discount Card are not required for the trophy.

The trophy is done sequentially.
First, 100% of the maps, don’t forget to pick up the Valkyrie’s secret sword in the dragon castle.
Then we finish all the quests, you will have to grind for ingredients for cooking, but this is a maximum of an hour of time.
Next, grind money for the 500k trophy, see my tip with the train.
Then save when it’s 200-300k and sell all the items in the inventory. We get the trophy and load up.
After that, we use all our money to craft weapons and armor, running between the merchant and the alchemist. I recommend doing the last point in one evening, so that later you don’t have to remember what to do where.

There is a simple way to craft money (about 10,000 coins per minute). The auto-collect ability must be open (green circle around you). We go to Johannes and see a lamp near him above the entrance. We put on the Valkyrie's shooting gallery, a spiked breastplate (it splits the lamp when touched), a rogue's ring, a speed belt, and a rabbit scarf. In the fragments responsible for the enchantment, we put an addition of gold and go back and forth from room to room, breaking this lamp. Coins with a 100% probability will be worth 50 and 100 + you will come across a bag with 500 coins.

It is not necessary to farm the complex part of the ingredients, such as stained bones, skulls and claws, it is enough to knock them out during the passage, after which you can use the alkahest, assemble and disassemble the weapon, and so on until victory. Alkahest can be obtained in a desert cave from red orbs, or bought in a store, we sell what we don’t need, a lot of it will accumulate.
Some things can only be bought - large glasses, galaxies (do not appear immediately), some at the end of the last quests of Susie (cursed necklace and repeat hat) and Abigail (Ring of Solomon)
Gold can be obtained by disassembling ready-made swords, which are not needed for crafting, or by disassembling fire chain mail; they can be quickly farmed in the Inferno location.
There is no need to craft 16-bit weapons, just buy all the coins and assemble/disassemble them again, you can leave the last one you liked and continue the game.

The trophy is quite easy, the most important thing is don’t be scared
To save nerves and time, do the following:
1) There is a bull enemy in the garden, from him we need a fragment of “alchemist’s loot.” We upgrade the fragment as soon as possible since it is the cornerstone of all crafting.
2) Before creating any item, we put on this fragment, since it gives a chance to create up to 2, or even up to 4 items for the cost of one.
Using this strategy, you don’t have to spend extra ingredients on creating copies of weapons or food, and please note, with the help of disassembling things and alkahest, you can quickly farm hard-to-find resources like orichalcum, baksite and alexandrite, which drop with a small chance even with great luck and the necessary fragments .
Before crafting the missing items, it is recommended to complete quests, as well as buy accessories in the store that you do not have in stock, as they give hidden recipes that the game does not mention.
