This isn't hard, but it certainly is a long grind. You will to have $2.5 million dollars saved up in order to send $500k in one go.
1 - Load up a co-op game. This can be done in couch co-op with a partner. Probably easier this way. Take the top half, let the other person take the bottom half of the map. Best option here in my opinion is Logs on Easy. Everything is cheaper which speeds up your game a lot.
2 - You can use pretty much whatever method you want that accumulates cash. I put down a farmer above a covered area and then used a supply drop once I started the game to quickly grab 2 banana farms. I would fill up the left and then two at the top of the tree for the farm. You can usually get about 6 banana farms for the farmer to use. Later in the game I would get banana farms and fill up the right and two on the left as it does not need a farmer or your attention.
3 - With the small pond in the middle of the map, I would put two Merchant ships there and my partner two merchant ships. Put down the Buccaneer and fill up the right part of the tree and the upper part for added firepower.
4 - If you want to go for more money making, you can get a alchemist with the right tree filled up (put at the front of the map) or even get the supply drop monkeys from sniper and fill up the upper part of the tree.
5 - Play the game. In the early game, you want to get as many farms as possible but also make sure you have enough monkeys to kill the bloons.
6 - Here's the best part. Your partner can send you their money and vice versa. Later on, you can use this quickly get more money on your way to $2.5 million dollars.
7 - Somewhere late in the game, well above level 120 for most people, you will have the ability to simply sell off all of your equipment and monkeys. You can check how much they are worth put clicking on them and pushing down on the stick to see their sell price. Between your money and how much you can sell, you can get to $2.5 million quicker.
8 - When you are ready, hit the bumper to move over to the gift section and if you have enough money, $2.5 million, you will be able to send over $500,000 and get the achievement. I had to end the game to get the achievement.
