How to unlock the Don't Let Go achievement in Bluey: The Videogame - Definitive Guide

I'm unclear on the actual rules of Chattermax Chase. The 100% foolproof 1 controller solution for this was quite easy to discover though.
As soon as you unlock the game after Chapter 3, travel to the "back yard" area and start a game (Y > Left Option) near the big tree at the top of the screen by the back porch. You'll want to be playing as Bluey.
Steal the cursed bird from you family and then head as quickly as you can to the top left side of the little bench surrounding the tree and hug the tree and shrub wall at the top of the screen, as if you are trying to pass behind the tree. Your family members cannot steal the bird here.
Once you get a star, you'll have to chase the bird down again. Get it back and repeat until you completely and quickly shut out your hapless family.
Repeat until the cheev pops. I did not get a notification on my Xbox, but it did on my computer and phone.

I tried this method I got two wins from using a single controller. But I kept going to this spot and someone was always able to take the bird from me. So I switched to using 4 controllers. I am not sure how this worked for you. Are you saying that not the entire family could get back there and just one person could?
In my time doing this, there was no impervious way that I could hold onto the bird until I got a star. Even hiding behind this tree.

I guess i could add that I was playing as Bluey. The family was never able to steal the bird from me when i was facing to the right. I was able to hold it until the star popped and the bird wriggles out of your grasp.

You will unlock a mini game after completing Episode 3. I finished the main story then done the mini game achievements at the end but you can do them as soon as you unlock each game (there's 4 mini game types).
Object of the game is get possession of the Chattermax toy and hold onto it long enough that it gives you a star, get 3 stars or if time runs out and you have the highest number of stars you win the game. You need to win 5 games in total. I done this on the beach as having the sandcastles helped block the other players from catching me.

The easiest way for me was to grab the bird and run directly behind the big tree on either side of it and no one can touch you in the time it takes to get a star

to make this much easier on yourself you can do this easily with 4 controllers. once everyone is assigned a character just use your player 1 to get 3 stars. the meter will fill up and then the chatterbox will run around and then just repeat the process. i did several games against the ai and usually ended up with 1 star and the achievement would'nt pop until after i had done 5 games won with all 3 stars

If you do not get achievement after getting at least 1 star in 5 matches, change character and win again. That is how this unlocked for me.

you need 3 stars five time its not unlocking with only one star

Can confirm that you don't need all three stars for it to count. I got this achievement with winning one round with 1 star and four rounds with 3 stars.

You can do this one right after completing episode 3. Once you've finished the episode you can play Chattermax the minigame found in the bottom left corner of your screen.
Start the game and the aim is to hold on to Chattermax as long as you can until you get a star. Look in the top right corner and you will see the bar fill up and once it's full you'll gain a star and release Chattermax. Each time you gain a star you will have to chase Chattermax again and build up to another star until you reach 3 stars. 3 stars wins the game but if not then the person with the most stars wins.
I found it easiest to run to the tables each side and wait behind them until someone gets close, then run in the opposite direction and by that point you should have gained a star. There is a time limit but I had no issues gaining 3 stars every time.

The Chattermax Chase minigame unlocks as part of the story, during the third episode.
To win this minigame, you just need to finish it with at least one star collected. This minigame can be annoying only because you get frozen regularly, and need to wait to be unfrozen. Thankfully, you just need one star to count as a win, but if you get all three the game ends right then, making it much quicker.
