OVERVIEW:
This achievement currently has a 9.7 ratio, which is weird to me since it is really not difficult. However, you still need some dedication and may have to restart the same events again and again until you get it right. Due to the Mario Kart nature of the game, there is a lot of luck involved and you might see completely different results from one attempt to the next. You need to complete all 450 lights in the singleplayer. Difficulty is not specified, so just do it on Easy. You can change the difficulty at any time in the options or by pressing Y when selecting a car when retrying an event. Drifting and Nitro drifting is a good help in Checkpoint events, but so are jumps and driving without hitting the wall. I'm stuck at 444/450 lights because of the damn destruction events. There's 5 which I can't achieve the fan targets in and 1 where I can't even achieve all primary lights : /

I'm not sure how to help you except say that you should keep trying with different vehicles. I usually stuck with grippy cars, but on the later Destruction events I used faster cars because I kept falling behind. Also doing it on Hard is almost essential to earning some of the fan targets, though I am guessing you read that part. Keep trying, sooner or later your aim will be amazing and you'll get combos in all the right places on the track so that you can survive long bends and such.

If some people are still have a hard time with the Destruction events in Crash and Burn ,then this is what I do (Because some of them can't be achieved on easy or are REALLY hard to be achieved on easy difficulty so you have to put difficulty to Medium or Hard)

If you're having problems with the fan targets on checkpoint events, choose a fast, somewhat drifty car and save your nitro until you have a chance to string together combos. Combos are key to getting a lot of fans in checkpoints. If you for example can string together a drift, nitro drift, clean nitro and checkpoint you'll get a lot more fans than by doing them individually. I don't know how high they can go but I've seen combo bonuses of at least a hundred fans.
I got the fan target on Mount Haruna ignoring the fan run (and almost completely ignoring stop watches) by just focusing on saving my nitros to the opportune moments. Staying perfectly on track (not hitting walls) also matters very little with this method, apart from actually hitting the checkpoints on time.
