How to unlock the Haruna matata achievement in Blur - Definitive Guide
2.) ts the only checkpoint event in this group - Event 4.
3.) Pick your car (i tried the twins Skyline GT-R NISMO Z-tune first but i felt like it had to must grip since this is a curvy course. I retried it with the Carver's Viper GTSR has a little more drift than the Skyline)
4.) You have to beat it in 20.0 sec for the 5 primary lights. dont worry about fans or the fan gates just go back after u 5light the event.
5.) You CAN HIT LIGHT POLES and lightly slide into guardrails ( i did by mistake a few times. this shouldn't cause any damage at all.) just keep an eye out on your cars damage if u see it go from a bright green to a light green u've take damage and you've failed it.
6.) just keep racing till you beat it. try to grab the nitros and as many stopwatches as you can. I saw the stopwatches more useful than nitros due to the hills and curves
it might take you a few tries just keep with it and you'll get it. i thought it would be hard to get but i was wrong.
Ok now go to your options menu a change the difficulty to easy.
Go to Losse Cannon and chose the Mt.Haruna time trial. And chose Shannons Opel.
Grab as many clocks as you can and NEVER use a nitro over a hill or around turn.
I finished with 45 seconds left on easy it is really easy. Hope this helps
About midway down the mountain you'll go over a long straight bridge that leads into a tunnel curving left. It's the hairpin right turn after this tunnel, and then the very next hairpin left after the next tunnel, where you should be extra cautious. Turn early and ease up on the throttle — you might even use the BRAKE — to avoid crashing into these walls and damaging your vehicle.
Now, Spartas Revenge's solution implies you should have Shannon's Astra Extreme unlocked before even attempting this achievement; that is complete nonsense. The Opel Astra Extreme is a great car I use in multiplayer more often than any other car in Class A, but specifically for this achievement the Renault Mégane Trophy is PERFECT. This super-grippy car is glued to the pavement, and is very easy to control with no wild tendencies... unlike Astras which can get unexpected air, and are also quite slippery despite their "grippy" designation, particularly Shannon's!
The Mégane Trophy and some careful braking make this achievement a cinch, especially when playing on Easy where you have more than enough time.
You unlock the Mount Haruna Checkpoint in the Loose Cannon stage. It is the 4th race in the stage. You want to stick with a high grip car and stick to the road on this one. Only use Nitro on the very long straight sections. Don't use it after gate 7/12 because the road starts to have a lot of dips and jumps in it. It is okay if you bump into a guard rail or hit light poles, just don't slam into a guard rail head or wall head on. The best car to use is after you have completed the final One-on-One race in the Single Player. This will unlock the Opel Astra Extreme which has a very high Acceleration, Speed, and Grip rating. Go through the corners smoothly and this should be no trouble at all with the Opel Astra Extreme.
Just set the difficulty to easy and drive, stopping at every turn, collecting Stopwatches. There's enough time. You must arrive first, meaning you must have 20 seconds or more to spare.
There won’t be enough time to stop at turns, that’s for sure.
