Forever Young

Forever Young

Got a brain age of 20 in the Brain Fitness Test 3 times.

20

How to unlock the Forever Young achievement in Body and Brain Connection - Definitive Guide

Cliff Notes - Use the XBOX Guide button to pause the game without time penalty.

Detailed Solution: In order to record a brainage of 20, you can't make any mistakes and you will need to answer quickly. Using the XBOX guide button allows you to instantly pause the game. This allows you time to determine the correct answer without wasting valuable time. You can even position your hands correctly while the game is paused.

However, this method is not perfect. It does not work for all games. Only 10 of the mini games are played during the brainage test. They are:

Which is Biggest?
Math jock
Balloon buster
What time is it?
Time bomb
Matchmaker
Flip and find
Traffic control
Mouse mayhem
Touch and go

Touch and go, mouse mayhem, traffic control and balloon buster can't be easily exploited by the XBOX guide button glitch.

I didn't even try Touch and go. I think this game is impossible If you have legitimately got A+ on this exercise, i would love to get some tips.

Mouse mayhem suffers from flaky controls. You will punch a mouse but it won't burst. I tried pausing and lining up the mice but i still missed them. *** EDIT - Dodgely points out that you can miss mice and still get a brainage of 20. ***

You can pause balloon buster to determine the correct order but you need to pop the balloons quickly. I scored a few 21's because of this game and it infuriated me. If you try this one, remember you have to be fast.

I didn't try pausing during Traffic control because i was able to beat this game without pausing. This game is not time based (as the cars come at regular intervals) so with some practice, you could ace this one.

The rest can be done easily using the XBOX guide button glitch. If i get a game you don't like, you can restart the entire test by selecting BACK -> QUIT TEST.

It felt like touch and go and mouse mayhem came up more often than random chance would suggest but stick to it and you will eventually get a favourable set of tests.

And, of course, you will need to do it 3 times to get the achievement.

If anyone has any thoughts on how to consistently beat Touch and go or mouse mayhem, let me know.

Good luck!

nice. have been getting scores around 30 and my best was only 27. I saw this and got a 20 on my first go.

Had which is biggest, what time is is and mouse mayhem. i missed 2 mice (so you dont have to be perfect...but pretty close to it), but still got a 20.

thanks for the help

Ditto on mouse mayhem, it's easy because you can insta-position yourself correctly during the pause. However, the balloon buster requires you to actively hit it instead of starting on the correct position. That one is still easy though. For touch and go, since I am 6"1, I got my 5"3 wife to stand behind me and keep my left arm on the fruit while I focused on my right arm avoiding the ghost. So I moved my right and she just waved my left around while staying behind me, not using Kinect. Of course, she did think I was a few bricks short of a load for doing so, ergo this might not be the best method.

I would have to say that Mouse Mayhem is actually pretty easy to beat by using the Xbox Guide method (for me anyway), I was able to get every single mouse but one by pausing it and lining up where to hit them. It helps for when it starts getting pretty fast with multiple mice to hit.

@Solray

No. It has to be 3 separate days. Take a look at Boots Orion's solution, specifically Leichat comment.

Guide button helps/works fine with traffic control, too. Can get a little tricky at the end as everything speeds up. I would just hit the guide button every time the chime sounded and adjust my arms to the locations of the two cars.

Thanks for the info. I added your comments to the solution.

I would still quit out if it was the first or second game. If it was the third, i would give it a shot. But i have a feeling i would see a lot of 21s.

Does it have to be 3 times on 3 separate days or can you just continue to replay the Fitness test over and over until you get 3 20s?

In addition to Johnny Skillz's brilliant solution, what you may want to know is that until you "stamp" the result, it is not recorded on your save-file. What this means is that if you don't get 20, you can always sign out and back in again - after the test result is displayed, but before you have stamped it - until you are successful, thus "cheating" the 1 attempt-per-day rule.

Obviously you will need to get a brain-age score of 20 3 times to get this achievement to pop.

Yes, I know that I don't have the achievement...yet, but I did not want this to get buried in the comments.

The "record" also means you can't do all three 20s on the same day.
