This achievement is acquired in world battle (online mode). I did it in ranked match, I assume player match will work as well.
Pick the create a room option in the ranked match menu and then wait for a person to join, although it's VERY unlikely. Far easier to boost. Anyway, once you get someone in the game, finish the match. Do this ten more times. Setting the game type to standard and doing 5 rounds doesn't count as 5 battles, you have to host ten rooms and finish all ten games.

Player match DOES work. Found out the hard way since there is no Battle Score in player match.
