How to unlock the Decked Out achievement in Borderlands 2 - Definitive Guide

For this you'll need a purple item in all possible equip slots:
(this will require you to have all of the weapon slots unlocked. Also, purple items are not to be confused with PINK E-Tech items.)

- 4 Weapons
- Relic
- Shield
- Grenade mod
- Class mod

It doesn't matter what level the items are. Some general tips are to stash any purple item you find until you have all those required and to farm the BNK-3R boss as he will usually drop a few purples. The rarest one to get is usually the relic but with persistence, it shouldn't take too long to get one. If you have a friend who has some (or all) items your missing, you can trade them back and forth.
(It should also be noted that bringing over a saved character from your 360 file with enough purples to fill each slot would be the quickest and most simple way. If it doesn't pop right away just remove one of them and re-equip it.)

Really? So does that mean they will also count as one of the slots filled with a purple then? I remember a few people saying that they couldnt get it to unlock on 360 without specifically all purples. I never had a chance to double check that but if they also count I'll redo the solution.

Lucky me, I got a purple relic the first time I defeated BNK-3R!

I received the purple relic off the Sheriff of Lynchwood, only had to farm her once after the main showdown.

Can players still drop weapons for new players like they did in the 360.. (the duplicating sharing thing I mean)

Glitched isn't unlocking even though 8 purples are equipped. Had to redo this 7 times and do the Ghostmode method in order for this to appear.

Anybody have a reliable way of getting a purple relic. It’s all I am missing and I have yet to come across one.

E-Tech weapons are equivalent to purple level weapons in both the 360 version and this version, hence why they are sometimes rewarded in the golden key chest in sanctuary.

The easiest way possible without having to farm Nisha for the Sheriff's badge: At the final quest in the game (Talon of God) you have the option to visit every NPC to help you (Marcus, Scooter, Moxxi, Hammerlock, Tannis, Dr Zed) before traveling to Eridium Blight.
Everybody will give you something of a weapon, except for Tannis, who gives you a relic. After she is done doing her speech, she gets a relic at total random. Most relics are either blue, while there are purple relics in the loot pool. When she gives you a blue relic, quit, reload your save. She will do her dialogue again and offer you a relic. Save and reload until she gives you a purple relic. (Mine was a 20.9% quicker shield refill)

If you can wait and have the patience and time: You can also wait for your Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode playthrough. Legendary Loot Midgets seem to carry E-tech relics since relics are more important in this mode.

This trophy requires you to have purple gear in every slot, that includes:
- All 4 weapon slots
- Grenade
- Shield
- Class mod
- Relic mod

The order of rarity goes like this:
- White
- Green
- Blue
- Purple
- Orange
- Pearlescent

You can earn this casually throughout regular gameplay, just making sure to save a purple or higher item in your vault located in Sanctuary if you plan on swapping it out for something of lower value.

If you want to speed up the process, I will include a link to Orcz.com which has many, many alphanumeric keys for SHiFT codes, which can be redeemed for Golden Keys.

The Golden Key chest is located in Sanctuary near your fast travel hub. Using a Golden Key, you will receive a random item(s) of purple or higher value. It is also scaled to your current level. It is recommended that you wait until later in the game to use the Golden keys as there is a limited amount of keys in circulation and Gearbox doesn't add new ones constantly.

I personally used several of these codes for Golden Keys as well as character customization items on 06/Nov/2016 and every one of them I used still worked. (Obviously read the notes next to the code for whether or not they are active still.) So even though many were posted in 2013/2014 they still work if not expired.

A table of current SHiFT codes is here:

http://orcz.com/Borderlands_2:_Golden_Key

You can also add Borderlands onto Facebook or Twitter and they release SHiFT codes on those accounts too. Just make sure the code is for Borderlands 2 and not the Pre-Sequel.

Borderlands 2 uses a colour-coding classification system for all the equipment throughout the game. Certain weapons are common, while others are rare and this is relayed back via a different colour. Below is the key for each colour and its rarity.

Weapon Colour Codes

  • White: Very Common
  • Green: Common
  • Blue: Uncommon
  • Purple: Rare
  • Magenta: Very Rare (E-Tech)
  • Orange: Legendary

Seeing as the purple or higher are set as rare+, you won't come across them much at the beginning of the game, but as you progress through it, you'll start to notice a few more about via item drops, crates or shops. You'll need to fill all 8 slots available - 4 guns, shield, grenade, class and relic mod.

If you're having trouble with this achievement, please go HERE and trade with other member who can give you the stuff you need.

You can try one more way. Shift codes are periodically posted on the forum. https://www.stratege.ru/forums/showt...=26204&page=18 By activating which you will receive golden keys. They can be used to open the box in the sanctuary. Purple things drop out there depending on the level of the character who opened it. I had absolutely no luck with the purple relic and got it that way.

I would like to add that you don’t have to equip only purple or only gold, you can combine loot.

purple weapons are much easier to find than purple equipment (grenades, shields, etc.) so if you find a rare item, carry it with you or better leave it in the safe, do not sell it, even if you no longer need it, purple item purple and will remain even if he first leveled, and when you open all eight slots, equip yourself!

Some people have problems with the purple mod, but even more often with the purple relic. I farmed War and Bunker myself, but the relic did not drop, but the sheriff from Lynchwood dropped it quite quickly. Some kill the marshals and wait for the sheriff to jump from the roof, but you can quickly get to the sheriff and save a lot of time. So... if you run to the sheriff from the side of respawn, you will see the first marshal on the roof on the left. There are boxes there. We jump along the nims onto the roof. Further along the crossbar we climb onto a wooden shield. From there we jump (with quick acceleration and sharply) to this very marshal on a higher roof. Next, we run up the crossbar and jump to the sheriff on the roof. This way you can quickly farm and loot the sheriff.
