How to unlock the Explosive achievement in Borderlands 2 - Definitive Guide

This is for completing the last main mission of the Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage DLC. The end boss is a two stage battle that can be a bit of a pain if your going solo. Heres a few tips.


After the battle, the vault will open and tons of loot shoots out. When you get all that yummy loot picked up, return to Moxxi and turn in for the achievement.

Beat this mission didn't get the achievement. Got the achievement for beating all the side missions. Any ideas?

This seems to be bugged for me, completed the mission and achiefvement did not pop up, tried hard resetting my Xbox and nothing

Just happened to me, waited about 5 minutes after turning in the quest... nothing. Saved and quit closed the game relaunched then it popped as soon as it requires you to push start to load up the main menu. Would not of continued going for other achievements if it didn't unlock.

If you time your attacks well enough to blow up the cruise missiles as they're just leaving, they do a huge amount of damage to the Badassasaurus. I try to make sure I've got something with a big magazine and a wide spread like Miss Moxxi's Kitten:

Story related, cannot be missed.

This achievement is unlocked after completing the final story mission of the DLC, called, 'Long Way To The Top'. There are a total of 12 missions to complete including this one to finish the main story and unlock this achievement.

To start this DLC, go to any fast travel station on any map and travel to a place called 'Badass Crater of Badassitude'. Upon spawning in this new location, a cutscene will activate and begin the DLC.

If you're having trouble with Badassaurius, there's an easy way to defeat him.

Go out to the center of the arena and after the cut-scene, turn around and run back to the gate through which you entered. The barrier can be jumped over with a running start, at least Serena can. And under the cover of the barrier and gate you are not afraid of anything and victory is a matter of time.
