High-Flying Hurler

Killed a flying enemy with a thrown Tediore weapon

How to unlock the High-Flying Hurler achievement in Borderlands 2 - Definitive Guide

To get this achievement you must use the reload of a Tediore weapon. When you reload these weapons they are thrown rather then the mag being ejected.

To acquire a Tediore weapon fast travel to any weapons vendor and see if they have one for sale, if not head out to another one. You can also get these weapons via chests or random drops from enemies.

Next head out to where some flying enemies are. I personally found Rakk to be easier to hit as they dive bomb you. Eridium Blight and Arid Badlands are the best farming places. Now damage your Rakk and reload when it gets close :)

Good luck!

Smaller weapons seem to fly further than large ones. I couldn’t hit anything with my Bunny rocket launcher, but took out a Rakk first go with a pistol.

To get the trophy that's called "High-Flying Hurler", you must kil a flying enemy with a thrown Tediore weapon.

You can get this at the beginning of the game. Run down the hill and exit Liar's Berg, then look up in the sky. You will see Rakks flying around high in the sky. If you have a Tediore weapon in your inventory, equip it.

Shoot at one of the Rakks for a bit and make sure it has very little health. As the Rakk swoops down on you, quickly throw the Tediore weapon by pressing cn_S. The Rakk should die form the exploded weapon and the trophy should unlock for you.

Another way of getting it is through Maya's Phaselock skill. You can weaken the bird a bit, Phaselock the enemy, then throw the Tediore weapon at it for the kill.

Have fun and good luck!

Tediore weapons have a special ability that each time you reload, your character will automatically throw the weapon (don't worry it'll come back to you) wherever you're currently aiming. Doing so and hitting any enemy with it, will cause a small amount of damage. So with that in mind, you'll first need to find/purchase a Tediore weapon, have it equip and then you'll need to search for any flying enemy.

The best enemy to try this on is a Rakk as they take one hit from the thrown weapon. Plus you're in luck as they're right at the start of the game in Southern Shelf. So either do some of the side mission and hope you get a Tediore gun as loot, or buy one from the town.

Once you've got one, head open area just outside of the town and you'll see some Rakk flying about. Simply take a shot at them and they'll start to fly towards you. As one gets close, tap  to reload and hopefully you'll hit one of them. If not, just rinse and repeat until you do.

I spent a long time looking for the button on the joystick that is responsible for “throwing the weapon,” and then I realized that if you have a Tediore weapon equipped, when you reload it it flies into the distance, and then appears again in your hand... in general, stand facing the birds and, when they fly close, just reload. Something like that)))

Tedior weapons are easy to find everywhere, just empty the clip and your hero will automatically throw the weapon where the sight is aimed

To begin with, you will need any weapon from Tediore . The fact is that when your character is reloading (button ) weapons from this company will throw a magazine at the enemy, which in turn will cause damage. That is, to unlock the achievement, you need to kill, or better yet finish off (it’s easier) any flying enemy who is in the air.

A great weapon for this achievement is the rocket launcher from Tediore . One morning you leave the Sanctuary, fire a warning shot at the flying rakkas and, as soon as you see a squadron of angry creatures with wings flying at low level in your direction, reload the rocket launcher and send them a gift
