How to unlock the Hmmmmm achievement in Borderlands 2 - Definitive Guide

In the DLC Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep there is a random spawn NPC named Mr. Miz in the Lair of Infinite Agony who will give you the quest 'The Amulet'. As stated, he is a random spawn so he will not always be in the area. If you go there and dont see an exclamation point quest marker on your map, quit out and continue until you do.

Once you find him and accept the quest, he will offer to sell you an amulet he claims is of great use (it actually does nothing in particular and is thought to be a reference to The Pendant in Dark Souls) for a lot of money. For me, at lvl 40 and on normal, it was roughly 175K. You are given two choices:

-Purchase the amulet: If you choose to buy it, he will give you the amulet (which counts as a relic) and youll complete the quest. Simply going into your inventory and equipping the 'Mysterious Amulet' will unlock the achievement.
(Note: If you buy the amulet but dont want to lose your cash for good, buy it and wear it so the achievement pops then dashboard and close the game manually without using the save and quit option. Completing the actual quest is not required to unlock this achievement. You just need to equip a Mysterious Amulet.)

-Punch him: If you choose to punch him, this will end the quest and you will NOT get the amulet nor will you be able to get the quest again. If, for some reason, you do punch him, you can still get the achievement via running it with another character or have someone who has one join your game, drop it, and let you wear it.

Hah! NOT my fault. My coop partner punched him. Sure, I was probably going to do it too if he hadn't done it first. But in this case, I can say it totally wasn't my fault!

MISSABLE:  Don't punch Mr. Miz!

If you already punched Mr. Miz, check out the Achievement Trading thread or find a friend that DIDN'T punch him who will drop it so you can pick it up. Achievement unlocks when you equip the amulet.

Mr. Miz may or may not show up during your initial run through. Many have reported not being able to find the guy. He appears to be a random spawn like the Goliath that drops an echo recorder in The Fridge (side quest from the main game). After the campaign is finished there will be an "Undiscovered" quest in the Lair of Infinite Agony to point you toward him. If he's there, you should see his exclamation point on the map. If you don't see his exclamation point, just fast travel away and back until he pops up. You must purchase the amulet. It is expensive but the price appears to vary; it's unclear exactly what all the price is dependent on. It cost me 750,000 on tvhm. It can be duplicated.

Attention! The trophy can be missed.

The side mission "The Amulet" will appear only after completing the expansion campaign. Mr. will give it to you. Miz in the location "Lair of the Infinite Agony", appears randomly, if you cannot find him, re-enter the location until Mr. appears. Miz.

Do not hit him under any circumstances! You need to buy a sacred amulet from this character; for me it cost about 830 thousand. After purchasing, put the amulet on yourself and get a trophy. If you are going with a friend, give him the amulet so that he can also put it on and receive a trophy.

If you hit Mr. Miz, you will not receive the amulet with this character and will have to replay the add-on or ask for it from a friend who has it.

You can “forget it” - ask the person who bought this amulet. We put it on and get a trophy. At least at the very beginning of the game, if your level allows you to wear it.

If Mr. Miz no, then just restart the last save. After loading, we appear in the location "Lair of the Infinite Agony" and look at the map - if Mr.Miz has appeared, then we will see a yellow exclamation mark, saying that we can take a new quest. We go to him, talk and choose to buy, and not “punch” (hit). I bought it for about 124,000, apparently the cost is calculated based on how much money you have in your pocket.

After killing the sorcerer Jack, go to the Liar of Infiniti Agony location and exit the game, enter and exit, and so on until the quest appears. At the easy level, the amulet costs up to 180 thousand.
