How to unlock the Keep Rollin' Rollin' Rollin' achievement in Borderlands 2 - Definitive Guide

To earn this achievement you need to roll a 1 or 20 on a Dice Chest.

Dice Chests are unique to areas located in Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep DLC. If you've yet to begin Tiny Tina's DLC it can be accessed by visiting Unassuming Docks at a fast travel station.

Dice Chests are easily recognizable, they simply look like a normal red loot chest, but with 2 colored 20-sided dice on top. Eridium is required to open these chests, and the player can choose to spend 1E to roll one die, or 5E to roll both. (The only difference here is that the higher number you roll, the better the loot you get).

Earning this achievement is luck based, I made it through the whole DLC without getting it on my first playthrough.

Lower level solo friendly method:

Another, and probably better location, requires you to have the ability to defeat the raid boss dragons. On Normal Mode these are around level 38 for a solo level 50 character:

Your mileage may vary of course, but while opening all the dice chests after the raid boss, I rolled 3 20's and a 1. All single dice rolls. There were at least 20 chests to open after I beat them.

If you roll two dies and ones a 1 and the others anything but a 1 or 20 do you still get the achievement or does only the high roll count towards the achievement?

When you roll the dice you’ll see a floating number for a brief second, I think that floating number has to be a 1 or a 20 for the achievement. I’m not entirely sure how the math works with 2 dice, but I’ve never rolled higher than a 20 meaning it probably takes the highest roll.

A simple way to do this is in Hatred's Shadow if you have magic missile. From the beginning, follow the path to where it dead ends and there is an enemy in the shows named The Shadow. Use Magic Missile on him, he ded. Walk through the door by pushing it open, do the chest, rinse and repeat until you get a 1.

Thank you for this. It's what I used to finally get this stupid RNG based achievement out of the way. I literally made (in-game) about a million dollars off of the drops from running back and forth, saving and quitting, over and over again. I was lucky enough to have an orange grenade mod that did 121k damage so that it only took 4 grenades to beat her, but even still, it was just boring waiting for the RNG to like me.

You'll find loot chests with two 20 sided dice on top in various places on the maps. You can roll one or two die (depending on if you want to spend eridium or not) to try and get better loot. The higher the roll, the higher the quality/rarity of the loot spawned inside. The highest die is used to determine quality of loot. The first dice chest can be found in the northeast part of the Unassuming Docks near the broken temple looking area (The Forlorn Ruins) down on the waters edge. The highest die must be either a 1 or a 20 to pop the achievement. If you don't pop the achievement by the end of the main story, once you defeat the Raid Boss (see "Make it Raaaaaid" for more info) you will gain access to another 53 of these chests right there.

Easter Egg for 3 more chests: After defeating the raid bosses when you're going through opening all the other 53 chests, there is a balcony (furthest south center of map) with 3 breaks in the chain railing and a lot of rakk looking creatures flying in the background. If you stand on the balcony watching them long enough a short but epic battle will be waged in the background and then 3 more chests will rise out of nothing filling the blank spaces in the chain railing. Probably more worth it for the epic battle than the loot chests. (thanks to DustyTheHampster for the heads up on this)

I would like to write what you can get by playing with this chest.
1) The loot depends on the number of dice thrown. If you roll 1 die, you will not get a LEGENDARY (orange) weapon or a pearlescent (even cooler) weapon.
2) Combinations when rolling 1 dice
1 - 1 eridium and garnet
2-3 white weapons
4-14 green weapons
15-18 more repaired weapons
19 purple and blue weapons
20 E-tech weapons
3) Special combinations when rolling 2 dice
1-1 - 4 eridium and 2 grenades
20-20 orange or pearlescent weapon
Hope I helped

In the Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep add-on, you will come across chests with dice, and by throwing a dice you will be able to find rare items depending on the number rolled.

To get this trophy you must have a 1 or 20 (minimum or maximum number) on your chest.
Very easy to get in the dragon mission for the Make it Raaaaaid trophy. After killing the dragons, there will be more than 30 chests with dice in this location.
