Open the social tab from the pause screen, select the mail tab on the right, press

then choose an item you don't mind losing and send it to any friend.

Try reloading the game, I sent multiple items out and never received that message.

Might be worth adding you can send to a friend while playing solo - they don’t need to be in your game or online :)

Ok update on the glitch, if anyone is having the same issue that was affecting me.

Created a new char and sent an item to a friend achievment popped 2 or 3 seconds right after

This achievment seems to be glitched for me, I sent multiple items and guns for different friends and it has not unlocked for me and the progress on achievment track still appears as 0%

Might be related to a message that appeared twice for me while ingame saying that game have patch installed and to apply I need to quit to main menu, I didnt do it the first time because was finishing a mission, and to think about it now the first time I sent a item was after that message.

Will try to make a new character and sent a item with the new one to see if it unlocks, if not might need to delete my savegame data to reset this.

This can be attained by pressing the Start button and scrolling down to the Social tab. From here press RB to go to the rightmost section (the Mail slot) and go into your backpack. Pick any item and press X to select it and pick somebody from your Friends List and press A to confirm.

The person you are sending to does not need to have played the game to unlock the achievement.

This should be the #1 solution. I don't have any friends that play this game, so this is the one that helped me.

Note: There is a limit to the number of items you can mail per-hour but I don't know exactly what it is. You have to wait approx 45mins before being allowed to mail out more items, if you get the message that you've sent too much mail. Also note that you must have the latest patch and Hot Fix installed, before this trophy can be obtained.

This can be done early on in the first mission, once you have found some gear you don't need. To send an item to a friend, go:

=> Social => Mail =>

=> Select an item then choose a friend to send it to but do note that the other person doesn't need to be online or even own a copy of Borderlands 3. The trophy will pop moments after the chosen item has been posted.
