How to unlock the Hell-Burbia achievement in Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition - Definitive Guide
I will not talk as much about strategy as the other guides because my method is straight forward and utilizes a glitch.
Prep: There is preparation for this glitch to be done consistently. I suggest playing on playthrough 1 (so enemy levels cap at mid 30's) and farming for a strong enough combat rifle that you could 1 shot all level 30 enemies.
How to Skip Rounds: This glitch makes it possible to skip half the levels in a single match.
You first have to progress to the 5th or Boss wave of any round, You then have to camp the stage where the boss spawns so you can kill it soon as you can. Using a combat rifle will provide consistency if you pre-fire the boss. If you killed the boss quickly enough, the curtains should shut with the lesser enemies still alive. DO NOT kill these lesser enemies yet! Instead, wait for a timer to start counting down from ten. Around 5 or 6 seconds you should kill them so it 'ends' the round. When the countdown reaches 0 the game should bring up your stats just as normal. Hit cn_A so that the menu is closed. Soon after you should see another 10 second countdown start. It should bring up the same exact stat menu as before. The game may say you haven't skipped a round right away, however, if you seen two 10 second timers, the game will eventually readjust itself into skipping a round.
If the way I explained it was confusing. I've provided a video of me doing the glitch below:
https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/hythal/video/79273534
NOTES:
1. This glitch can be performed every boss wave. The only exception is on sledge it doesn't seem to work. Even on Hanz and Franz. Long as you kill Hanz on the left, but leave Franz alive till the ten second countdown.
As said by GodComplxdotexe, One-Eyed Jack doesn't work either!
2. This can be done in either multiplayer or solo.
3. It works in both versions of the game.
4. This works on ANY map not just The Gully.
5. The enemies scale to the host so you can have lower level weapons do enough damage to insta kill the bosses.
If you have anything else to add leave a comment! If you leave a thumbs down comment why so I can help you :)

Glad it still works :P I'll add that to the guide that One Eyed Jack doesn't work. Thank you!

As you may know, imported characters do not carry this achievement over. Also, the round skip glitch has been patched. My method to get this was simple, and it works best if you have a friend with a higher level character that can handle the kills for you. Here are the steps:
1. Start a new character and progress through the story until you power up the Catch-a-Ride stations for Scooter at the very beginning of the game. Once the stations are powered up, you can use the fast travel station outside Zed's to go to the Underdome.
2. You will probably be around level 5 at this point. Make sure YOU are hosting the game and have a higher level friend join the game to handle the kills. This is a time commitment however, depending on the levels involved. I was level 7, enemies scaled to level 12 and my friend was level 49. In that configuration it took about 3 hours (with some breaks), around 1400 kills total I believe.
3. You can find a hiding spot on the edges of the map. If you're far enough away, the enemies won't mess with you. However it shouldn't matter if you get downed, you won't be high enough level to help.

Unlocked for beating the larger challenge in the 'Hell-Burbia' coliseum.

In order not to go crazy from boredom and dullness, I recommend going through sets of 5-10 waves at a time, no more, then taking breaks for some of your own business. In just one challenge you will have to kill about 1000-1200 opponents. Therefore, it is better to count progress by them, and not by waves xD
In addition, there are a couple of feature bugs that I hope will help at least somehow:
1. If you increase the level directly during the battle (by completing a challenge, for example), then the level of your opponents will not increase.
2. With the "Naked" debuff, all active effects from the shield are preserved. That is, you can find a shield for health regen, put it on and get a boost to health restoration.
3. You can gain experience for killing an enemy, but only if you kill him at the moment of spawn.
And maybe I did something wrong, but deciding to save myself some nerves, I went to the twink’s account (US region), upgraded him to level 10, cleared the first three arenas with him using splitscreen (he’s the host), and cleared the “big” arena and received the achievement only on the host (twink) - the main did not receive it.
PS Don't forget to pack first aid kits, yes. It's sad without them. Even with fast HP regen.
PPS The game loves to crash. Therefore, there is a risk that when the arena stretches for half a day, you can catch a flight at the very end and burn the whole sofa with a burning ass from this.

Regarding the passage of 5-10 waves. If you exit the game, your progress will not be saved. You can only pause the game.

The game doesn't just tend to crash at any opportunity. It crashed for me 2 times on the last wave (20/20 boss wave) after 3 (6 in total) fucking hours of boredom and despondency. The game simply cannot handle large amounts of drops on location. And this is on ps pro. And there is simply nowhere to give drops in such quantities. The floors are littered with cartridges, the carriages are filled with guns. I survived the crash once, but the second time the gamepad almost flew into the screen. In general, the arena is ONLY for masochists or true fans of the series. And you can’t take breaks at all, otherwise everything will start all over again.
