How to unlock the Rootinest, Tootinest, Shootinest achievement in Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition - Definitive Guide

You can get this within about 20 min of starting the game. After a few missions, you'll get the objective to get to skag gully and kill Nine toes. Go ahead, follow the quest and do exactly that.

After exiting his lair, just go straight ahead instead of going down the hill to the right, fight some skags in a small valley and and follow the path to the right and up a small hill.

A small flock of or Rakks spawns there. Let them fly away and back to you gain, then kill all of them within 10 seconds to get the achievement. It is easiest with a shotgun. The Siren starts with a legendary shotgun, which is perfect for it.

edit: here is a screenshot of the location. minimap shows were to go:

Quick video guide on how to get this one:

Head to Skag Gully and head to the right side of the map.

Use a full auto weapon and fire at the rakk mobs that attempt to swoop you.

Optional* Eliminate any Skags that are within the area first.

To unlock the Rootinest, Tootinest, Shootinest trophy in Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, you will need to kill five Rakk (flying enemies) in under 10 seconds.

You can get this very early in the game. You will be directed to Skag Gully for one of the early missions, in the area, shoot some bullets to attract the Rakk, and then when they bunch together and swoop down to attack you, unload a fully automatic weapon into them.

You can see a video showing the location and method below (credit to Apache on YouTube):

Near the beginning of the game you will be given a mission by Dr. Zed called 'Sledge: Meet Shep' and upon doing so you will come into contact with Shep Sanders. After an initial mission from him he will offer a few more, one of which is called 'Get The Flock Outta Here' and is to kill ten Rakk nearby that spawn from a Hive. Head to this area while driving in a 'Machine Gun Runner' from one of the Catch-A-Ride stations and when close, switch to the gunner seat by pressing . Fire off some shots at the Rakk Hive to get their attention then let them all gather and start to fly towards you. Once they are heading towards you, start firing into the pack of them and you will kill all of them in very quick succession. There are more than five here so this achievement can be very easily obtained during this mission.

This can also be obtained anywhere where Rakk spawn, just get their attention first to have a large group of them form up so that shooting them in quick succession is easier.

The Rakk are those pesky bird like creatures in the sky that always attack in groups and look like demented Pterodactyls. The absolute best time to get this trophy is during the "Get The Flock Outta Here" Mission you obtain from a friend of Dr. Zed called Shep Sanders. Once you've got the Mission, spawn a Rocket Launcher Runner from the nearest Catch-A-Ride Station and head over to where the Waypoint is pointing to. Drive up to the Hive (the big hairy bump in the ground that looks like a red/black moonscape) which will lure the Rakk out. Drive back a few feet and get into your Turret by pressing . Shoot at one of the Rakk to get their attention, wait for them to bunch up and dive bomb you, then fire away when they're right on top of you. Do it right and you will kill 5 in one shot.

Alternatively, once you get attacked equip yourself with a powerful weapon, preferably with a big ammo magazine; Shotguns and Machine Guns/Combat Rifles are the easiest for this. This might not work with the first few encounters but you will very soon out-level them. You can always come back later if needed.

We recommend doing this trophy whilst playing solo else your co-op buddy(ies) will likely screw this up for you.
