How to unlock the There are some who call me...Tim achievement in Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition - Definitive Guide
In general, only bosses will drop class mods. If you can't find any in the main campaign, there's more in the dlc adventures.
You will receive a character class mod after you kill Sledge when you turn the quest in.
You will be given class mods as mission rewards and find them as loot from enemies as well as be able to purchase them from vending machines. These class mods will offer character upgrades such as ammo or health regeneration and more skill points in certain skills for as long as you wear the mod.
If for some reason you are struggling to find one, you will be given a class mod as a mission reward for completing 'Sledge: Battle For The Badlands' that you can use for this achievement.
Class mods start appearing once you level up to level 18. To equip a class mod you first need to get one by either buying one from a Dr. Zed Vending machine, looting one from somewhere or be given one as a Mission reward. After you have obtained one go into your Inventory, scroll down to it and press to equip it, back out of the Inventory to get your trophy but if you're given one as a mission reward then it may get auto equipped.
A good place to get a free class mod is by completing the mission "Sledge: Battle For The Badlands".
