If you've imported your save from the Xbox 360 version you can simply fast travel to this location (assuming you've completed the game last gen).

On the Fast Travel menu it's "Crazy Earl's Scrapyard"

After you talked to Tannis, she will redirect you to funny guy Earl, who is in Earls Scrapyard, not far from her position. Upon entering you will unlock this.

The Discovered The Scrapyard trophy in Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition is story-related and can't be missed.

When you talk to Tannis, you will then have to find Earl at Earl's Scrapyard. Once you arrive, the trophy will unlock.

Story related, can't be missed

You will get this trophy seconds after you enter The Scrapyard for the first time during the mission "Meet 'Crazy' Earl". Tannis will give you this mission after meeting with you at her base in The Rust Commons West. When you get there you will have to kill a few Skags and blow up some Gas Cylinders to gain entry to 'Crazy' Earl's hut.
