How to unlock the Sneaky Little Buggers achievement in Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition - Definitive Guide

I had previously done this on the Xbox 360 version.

On the One I imported my level 69 Soldier and on *Playthrough 1* progressed through the General Knoxx DLC. During the "Prison Break: Try Not To Get Shanked" mission, I opened a crate with a mini Steve in it, killed him and the achievement popped.

As such, if you've done it on the 360, looks like you only need to find one of the loot midgets if you've imported your character over.

The midget locations (taken from IncrediBoy's solution from the Xbox 360 version of the game - Solution for Sneaky Little Buggers In Borderlands):

1. Mini-Steve - Inside a red chest in the southeast bandit camp in the Deep Fathoms area.

2. Meat Popsicle - In the Sunken Sea area, get on the freeway and stop underneath the Dahl sign. On your right you will see a set of stairs, walk down and find a fridge around the corner of the small building with Meat Popsicle inside. -- Edit: REDWINGS05 reports that this is incorrect, "It's not in the sunken Sea area. He is in the very first main area."

3. Truxican Wrestler - Immediately upon entering Lockdown Palace, search all of the lockers in the first long hallway.

4. Dumpster Diver - Accept the "Little People, Big Experiments" mission from Thirsty and head to the waypoint marker. Take down Motorhead and search the dumpster within the garage.

5. Crimson Shorty - Just before you enter The Crimson Armory, there will be two Crimson Lance chests. One of them will contain your final Loot Midget.

Not a guide just your experience. Reminding someone where even 1 of the midgets would have been closer to a guide than what you wrote. Not everyone remembers what they did on borderlands years ago. Also people who are playing this for the first time click on the guide for a guide.

I launched playthrough 2 on my level 69 import and opened a fridge at the beginning of the DLC (that was previously untouched) and killed meat popsicle for the achievement. Thanks for the idea of using and old character.

The meat Popsicle reference on here is wildly incorrect. It's not in the sunken Sea area. He is in the very first main area.

Mini Steve for me was at deep fathoms but not at the Southeast camp. For me he was in a camp at the top middle, just above where there are 2 catch-a-rides right next to eachother (or just to the right of Crawmerax's layer). He was in a red chest for me, and the red chest can spawn in different places within that camp. All the other locations worked for me

just like i thought, kill all five and no achievement. happened first game years ago and only got it on second playthrough. Ive already done second playthrough on new game

^^ This happened to me too, I don't really want to play a second playthrough... are there any other solutions for this glitch? The buddy I was playing with got credit on the 5 one while I haven't despite killing all 5 twice now... lame.

I have all dlc on 360 but when I try to play on One none is there, my only last 2 achievements for this game is killing all loot midgets and doing all secret armory missions. Any idea this is happening. I can't play disc on my 360, so if i have to buy the dlc again is stupid. Pls can anyone help me on why this is happening?

Upvoted. Meat popsicle was right where you said he was. Idk if there are multiple refrigerators, but I hit the first one I saw halfway up. Though I was familiar with this area because i had done all missions and used this area for a previous side mission.

Meat Popsicle can spawn in multiple locations. I found him in a refrigerator in Lockdown Palace

Did this on 360 and on my first run through lockdown palace i had meat popsicle, mini steve. and truxican wrestler spawn all in the same area. talk about luck lol

Truxican Wrestler didn't spawn at the beginning of Lockdown for me. He spawned just after the lift, coming out of the laundry room that connects to the showers where you fight Shank. Just in case anyone else gets hosed like I did.

For me they appeared as follows:

1) Mini-Steve did not appear in Deep Fathoms for me, only found 2 chests in the Southeast Bandit Camp, both by Moxxi's place, 1 red and 1 silver. He wasn't in either. He popped out of a red chest in Lockdown Palace by the Claptrap when I first went there for Athena.

2) Meat-Popsicle appeared exactly where the guide said. In the Sunken Sea area, underneath the Dahl sign on the freeway on the right side of the map. Just north of where Thirsty (quest giver for Midget 4) is, who is located by the pond/lake under the Hyperion sign. There is a suspended midget camp under the freeway, found him in one of the freezers there.

3)Truxican Wrestler - Exactly where the guide said. He popped out of a locker in Lockdown Palace near the beginning.

4)Dumpster Diver - Exactly where the guide said. Complete Thirsty's first quest to get the 2nd which will lead you to him on the Ridgeway.

5)Crimson Shorty came out of a Lance chest on Road's End at the very end on the way to the Crimson Armory area. He was not in the Crimson Armory itself, it was single Lance chest on the right wall/corner shortly before the Exit to the Crimson Armory.

Everyone has this wrong, this achievement is not by location but by object search type.

There are five types of special midget that are hiding in objects, searching these objects has a chance to spawn a special midget.

Red Chest = Mini Steve
Common in Lockdown Palace.

White Fridge = Meat Popsicle
Common in Lockdown Palace, & one guaranteed high-level 61+ spawn in T-Bone Junction.

Green Dahl Dumpster = Dumpster Diver
In Motorheads Garage, requires you to have the mission "Little People, Big Experiments" from the midget mission giver, as it will open the door to an area with a guaranteed Dumpster Diver.

Tall Grey Locker = Truxican Wrestler
Common in Lockdown Palace.

Crimson Lance Chest = Crimson Shorty
Common in Roads End.

There are five total loot midgets in the game and can each be found in loot containers. The midgets and their locations are;

  • Truxican Wrestler. This midget can be found in one of the very first lockers when you enter Lockdown Palace during the story mission 'Prison Break: Try Not to Get Shanked'. Open all of the lockers at the entrance to find him.
  • Meat Popsicle. This midget can also be found in Lockdown Palace during the same mission as the above midget. Around halfway through you will enter a cell block through a right-hand door, just before this there is a small room in front of you. In here the container with this midget can be found.
  • Mini Steve. This midget can be found in multiple locations, however the likeliest will be again in 'Lockdown Palace' just after where you can begin the 'Claptrap Rescue: Lockdown Palace' side mission in a red weapons chest. He can also be found in chests from any of the following locations; 'Sunken Sea', 'Road's End' or 'Deep Fathoms'.
  • Crimson Shorty. This midget can be found in a Crimson Lance weapon chest at the end of the 'Road's End' location just before entering the 'Crimson Armory'.
  • Dumpster Diver. This midget can be found in a chest at the location for the final boss of the 'Little People, Big Experiments' side mission, Motorhead.

There are five loot midgets that will jump out of various loot chests, and you need to kill each of them:

Meat Popsicle: Meat Popsicle will be in a fridge in Lockdown Palace (just after the vending machines in the middle of the level and can appear in others). A level 61 Meat Popsicle can be found in a hidden room under T-Bone Junction.

Truxican Wrestler: Will usually be in one of the first lockers of Lockdown Palace.

Mini Steve: Can appear anywhere but is most commonly encountered in a red weapons chest near the Claptrap in Lockdown Palace.

Crimson Shorty: is hidden in a Crimson Lance Chest at the end of Road's End.

Dumpster Diver: In the dumpster in Motorhead's garage and can only be reached once the Little People, Big Experiments mission has unlocked access to this room.
