Each of the 4 characters has an special ability, you firstly need to reach level 5 to earn your first skill point at which time you can press and use the bumpers to scroll to the skills menu and spend your skill point on the top skill.

Now you will have the ability to use your character's ability, in this case Mordecai's ability is his pet, Bloodwing. By pressing you release Bloodwing at whatever you're targeting and he will attack.

One hit should kill the early low level Skags around Arid Badlands.

All skills have a recharge time once they are used
