Each of the 4 characters has an special ability, you firstly need to reach level 5 to earn your first skill point at which time you can press 
and use the bumpers to scroll to the skills menu and spend your skill point on the top skill.
Now you will have the ability to use your character's ability, in this case Brick's ability is 'Berserk' in which once you press
