How to unlock the Helios Rising achievement in Borderlands The Pre-Sequel - Definitive Guide
This achievement is story based and should be completed during natural progression. Home Sweet Home is a main mission that chronologically occurs as below:
Welcome to Helios
Lost Legion Invasion
Marooned
Systems Jammed
A New Direction
Intelligences of an Artificial Persuasion
Let's Build a Robot Army
Home Sweet Home
Essentially, speaking with Jack in Moxxi's Up Over bar in Concordia completes the previous mission and will start the new quest. The goal here is to retake Helios with your fresh robot army and turn off the laser. You'll be told by Moxxi to snag some loot she has stored in the room behind Jack in her toy box. There's some pretty decent loot here so equip what you like and return to Jack.
Lillith and Roland chime in saying they will be going with you and Jack to provide support then everyone takes off for the fast travel station. Once they've all gone through, use the station and go to the Hyperion Hub of Heroism. Naturally, everyone is split up so forget about the aforementioned support. Make your way N into the Helios Immigration Station and load up on ammo for the push ahead.
When ready, head E towards the Central Terminal and battle the Lost Legion waiting for you. Tassiter will come over the intercom yelling at Jack while you jump down and continue the fight S into the Hall of Wonders. After this battle, head E towards the sign for the Inner Hull. Upon approaching the next door, it will be blocked off by good ole Zarpedon. Jack will tell you to reconvene at his office so start heading N.
Once you fight your way there, the door's scanner will ask for authorization which you do not have of course. Jack suggests using a CL4P-TP to open the door from the nearby repair shop to the SW in the large crate. The CL4P-TP sets off an alarm at first sending waves of baddies your way and then he'll create a snow tornado.
Next, you'll try out the scanner but are identified as a cat wearing a birthday cap which triggers another alarm. Then the scanner will show you as a racist hot dog and, viola, another alarm. Finally, the CL4P-TP gets it right and is asked to "integrate" with the scanner which unlocks the door to Jack's Office.
Once you're inside, go around the table and activate the fast travel and have Jack join you. He will soon be radioed by Gladstone who needs a rescue and Jack will send you there so that Gladstone can lift the defenses to the Eye of Helios. Head back down to the Hyperion Hub of Heroism and fight your way N through World of Shopping and The Road to Research to get to the door for Research & Development.
Last step is to get to Gladstone. Head W into Indigenous Species Research and wipe out the torks so Gladstone feels safe to open the door. Once they're handled, head N and talk to Gladstone to turn in this mission.
The achievement should pop and you'll be rewarded with:
- Approx $496
- Approx 5222 XP
- Storage Deck Upgrade
