How to unlock the Modern Fart achievement in Borderlands The Pre-Sequel - Definitive Guide

This mission is unlocked fairly early into the game. You are required to donate 50 normal rarity (white coloured) guns to the troll booth located in Triton Flats. Every 10 guns you are required to do a little mission in regards to the weapons you are donating (retrieving them, checking on members, etc.). Since this is available rather early in the game, just keep collecting normal rarity guns enemies drop and deliver them to the drop box at your leisure. if you want to speed it up you can always buy guns from vending machines, although I'm sure your money can be put to better use. Once you donate 50 guns you get to see where your hard fought donations end up!

*NOTE*: People who are importing their save on the 360 to the One I believe are required to do this mission again, at least that was the case for me. (I completed it in normal mode and have to do it again on True Vault Hunter mode for the achievement). If someone could confirm this or mention if there is another easier way to obtain it that would be great and save some time.

If you like me trying to grind this cheevo, just trevel to Concordia and play one-armed bandits @ Moxxi's. You should have around 100-150k to get 50 common weapons from them. It took me 15 minutes.

Idk if anyone is having this same issue but here’s my problem.

Did this achievement on 360 (then imported character)

On the imported character i did this mission on TVHM (didn’t unlock)

so i made a new character and did it on there. (still no unlock)

idk what the issue could be. if anyone has any insight let me hear it please.

I imported the lvl 70 character that I got all the 360 achievements with just to have it, but I made a new one in handsome collection to get any achievements I couldn't cheese with my lvl 70. I've played through the whole main game, side quests and all, on normal mode with this new one and of all the achievements I should have gotten, intelligences of the artificial persuasion and modern fart are the only 2 that didn't unlock. However, today on TVM the intelligences of the artificial persuasion one worked when I finished it so hopefully the to arms one does when I get around to it. I've looked around online a whole bunch and been seeing 50 50 on it working/not working in TVM. I don't know what you'd do if it doesn't work on every playthrough tho. Lol

This wouldn't unlock from me when I imported. I imported at the "Witness the revolution" part and tried twice, but no unlock.

You are correct. I did it in normal on the 360 and am doing it again on the One. If you have friends at higher levels say Ultimate Vault Hunter mode you can pop in on their game to get higher xp but also higher cash drops which would make buying the white level guns quicker. I got over $400,000 in about 15 minutes and that was just from the opening scene through getting to Concordia. Plus any weapons they do not pick up that are too high level for you will be worth $10000+ so that helps too.

This is an extremely quick way to farm 50 common rarity weapons, and I'd suggest using it for the grinder challenges.

I will say now it requires the use of two controllers though. Use split screen and ensure the second player is a temporary guest account. Usually this would be detrimental, not allowing for any progress with the temporary character to be saved, but this can be taken advantage of.

Drop the two basic weapons the newly created character amid provided with by default then save and reload, rinse and repeat.

If you've got more than one Xbox One controller, this is easily the fastest way to knock out those common rarity guns you need to pop this. If you haven't, shooting Lost Legion Eternals is also fairly quick, but not a patch on this way

Hi guys, not so much of a solution but here is a quick way to get Common Rarity Guns by the dozen fairly quickly :
-Clear some space in your backpack
-Go to Vorago Solitude
-Shoot some Eternal baddies in the face until they start to ascend.
-Get the gun they just dropped (works every time 100% of the time)
-Repeat until your inventory is full!
-Drop those in the intended box
-Go back to step 2!

if you have a friend ask him to gather common rarity weapon after his inventory is full. simply ask him to join your game then ask him to donate the guns. now he has to quit his game . (press guide buttom then start buttom and choose quit ) make sure he doesnt save and quit.. in this case he will have all his guns! keep quiting and joining. you can use this method to duplicate rare legendary items too. be the host and invite your friend with the legendary item. ask him to drop and then go to home and quit ( not saving ) . now u have the gun and he does too!

The requirements for this trophy is to complete the optional sidequest To Arms! given to you by the People's Liberation Army.

This mission is a little lengthy and tedious purely because it requires you to collect 50 common (white) weapons and deposit them in a mailbox, as well perform a few side objectives throughout the process.

You pick up the mission in Triton Flats area from the bulletin board, and the mission itself is a level 11 quest.
The rewards in Normal Vault Hunter Mode are:
-$70,
-1363 XP and the
-Support Relay http://borderlands.wikia.com/wiki/Support_Relay

Overall this quest is not complicated, its just a bit of a pain because when you receive it, your storage deck is probably not upgraded very high, meaning you can't hold a ton of weapons. Mine was at 18 items to be held upon completion of this, and I was also holding some weapons to swap out depending on the type of enemies I was fighting.
Also its not really worth it to buy common level weapons, as they tend to cost about $1,200 on average when you are in the level 18-ish range.

My best advice for this quest is:
-sell off or store any unnecessary weapons that are green value or higher
-check every storage locker or weapon crate you pass by and take all white weapons seen
-smash every rock or destroyable item that contains items
-kill large groups of enemies to check for white weapons
-invest in upgrading your Storage Deck with moonstones

Note: Only white guns count, not grenade mods, Oz kits, shields or class mods. The type of gun does not matter, they all count towards the 50 requirement.

You will get this quest early on into the game, found on a 'Triton Flats' bounty board and asks you to donate 50 white rarity weapons into a mail slot however the fastest way I could find to get white rarity weapons is to damage a lost legion eternal so they begin to ascend. When this happens they will always drop a white rarity gun on the ground (unless you or another enemy one shots them before they can go into the ascend animation) from their hands. In 'Tycho's Ribs' after the short corridor will be an area in which 3 Lost legion eternals will spawn one by one as you kill them from a hut to the right. (This is the second to last area when completing the story for the game). Each time you donate 10 guns, you will be required to complete a small mission objective such as stealing back weapon crates from the scavs.

The best method to complete the quest is to wait until you've finished the main story, save up moonstones and spend them at crazy earls shop in Concordia (located tucked away behind the Moxxis bar) on upgrading your backpack SDU so you can carry more guns. Then fast travel to 'Tycho's Ribs' pick up the 3 white guns from the lost legion eternals - then exit to the main menu and rinse and repeat until your backpack is full, then travel back to 'Triton Flats' and donate what weapons you can until all the side objectives are complete. Once you have 50 guns donated fast travel back to Concordia and witness the revolution!

Buying guns from shops and searching lockers is extremely ineffective compared to this method and whilst in normal mode the reward is only level 11 the effects on the Oz kit were even better then my level 28 Oz kit.

This side mission is found quite early on in the 'Triton Flats' area. You need to find 50 common rarity weapons, which are the White weapons and donate them into a mailbox. You will likely not use White weapons after the beginning so you won't need them and they are hardly worth selling, so every time you see one, pick it up then when you get the chance or when your inventory is full, go and deposit them into the mailbox. After every 10 weapons you deposit you will be given another task to do in the mission, but it is usually a short task within the area where you deposit the guns.

After you have deposited all 50 guns you will need to travel to Concordia and witness the 'revolution' that you are now solely responsible for. Turn it in for the achievement.

NOTE: The weapons MUST be white and they have to be guns. Shields, Oz Kits, and Class Mods do NOT count towards the counter.
