How to unlock the No Photographs, Please! achievement in Borderlands The Pre-Sequel - Definitive Guide

Killed 10 Spybugs before they took you photo.

Area: The Nexus. I'm not entirely sure how early you can do this in this area, but I had the entire DLC and sidequests finished. The area in the video spawns two variants of the robot, named Spambot and Spyware. Spyware is the one you're after, but the spawn rate is significantly lower. I got lucky spawning two of them here. Reload the area if they're not there or after you've killed them. Once you kill 10 named Spyware without them "taking your photo" via the white beam they emit, the achievement will unlock.

Thank you for the video. By the way, if you do this on the 360 and upload the save, it will unlock after killing a single SpyBug.

Want to add a note that if you are playing as Jack and spybug takes a picture of your clones it doesn't count against you. I only farmed 5 from the recycling bin and got the achievement on my 5th spybug. That means the other 5 were ones I killed during the mutator rounds, which each time took a picture of my clone before I could kill it.

They spawn up top too. Instead of going over the side onto multiple platforms, you can just drop down like this and be right at the ones that spawn at the bottom. https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=d779568d2bffc9b4%21176

It should be worth noting that you can just bring your imported character over from the 360 who has gotten the achievement already and then kill a spy bug (in the location in the guide). You will unlock the achievement after one spybug kill.

No idea how it happened.. but all the "spy bugs" were invisible to me.. I would see them spawn briefly and they would just vanish.. I could still see the red dots on the mini map and would just aim where I thought they were. They couldn't take pictures of me either.. so I guess it worked out in the end.

this is my first run, and for me they are called adbugs. I don't have any spybugs.

If you have an imported character and you had already killed 10 spybots, this achievement pops after the first kill. I can confirm this

I'm not sure why you think spam bots count but I can 100% guarantee that they don't count towards the achievement. I've finished the main story in the DLC and get spy bots to appear rarely. I've killed over 20 spam bots and not achievement.

Ragnarok, no where in the guide nor comments does anyone say that spam bots count. The guide mentions spam bots to say only that they exist, but you're looking for the "spy" bots/bugs/ware etc.

Worked perfectly. Just keep jumping and dodging the spinning laser walls. Wilhelm action skill took care of any random Spyware bots that appeared. Took about 15 minutes for me. Died a few times but you spawn right next to the room. Jump straight back in and continue.
As long as you don't destroy all of the generators, the flying type of bugs will keep spawning.

It is part of the 'File Search' quest in the Claptrap DLC.

Adbugs and Spybugs are what they are called on normal difficulty. You need Spybugs for the achievement to unlock (unless you are playing a higher difficulty, see below).

Spambot and Spyware are what they are called on True Vault Hunter Mode difficulty. You need Spyware for the achievement to unlock (unless you are playing on normal difficulty, see above).

Nice solution, the drop rate on these is high enough so that it can get done in like 15 minutes!dance

Before jumping down the ledge like on the video, walk a bit forward, to where the claptrap with a "sunbrella" is on the left. once you get there 2 spam/spy bots MIGHT (not always) spawn right above you. kill them, then move to the right and drop down to the garbage claptrap from the video. kill those 2. quit game, rinse repeat.
also: spybots can go invisible, so pay attention to a red dot on the minimap and the hovering sound. i catch them with my ricochet shooting the floor, but not all classes can do that.

I got it in about 5min. Probably my game glitched but heres what happened.

At the beggining of the dlc when you are trapped you're about to be erased you have to destroy some enemies (During the secuence of protocol Alpha/something/Charlie).
After destroying the three generators and I was supposed to get out, infinite enemies kept respawning from the wall. (Adbugs and some other one that is blueish), but, every 9 or 10 enemies a Spy bot appeared. I was Willhelm so I just used my skill and they took care of it.

Hope this can be triggered easily and wasn't just me being lucky. Might try it later in UVHM to see if it works.

I'm not getting these spawning much either Dr Marty. Also, is it just me or are these enemies invisible until they take your picture? I've been unable to spot one yet before they snap my picture. I see them on my map, but they are invisible on-screen until it is too late.

If anyone else is having the visibility problem and NOT playing with Wilhelm, I think I'm having success with a shotgun just firing in the area the red enemy dot is showing on the mini-map. I'm killing whatever is there, but obviously I can't see what it is and it dies too quickly to see a name and health bar. I know I haven't killed 10 yet, but I believe what I'm doing is working. Will edit if my theory is correct.

EDIT: Ok, so I WAS killing Spybots - just got the achievement. On my 9th and 10th one, I was able to see them very briefly, but as soon as they spotted me, they go invisible. Tricky enemies for that reason, but the shotgun did well with the spread of each shot fired. As is the video, I had them spawning exiting the Recycle Bin. I also had them spawn in that same area but straight ahead with the Recycle Bin on your left, in the open space passed where you can no longer walk (hope that makes sense). Once or twice I had them spawn behind me on my way to the Recycle Bin. So just get to that area, kill the enemies showing on your screen or mini-map, then save and quit to repeat the process. Took me about 30 minutes since I didn't have them spawning every time, and only one would spawn when they did. Overall not too bad once I figured out how to land a shot on what I couldn't see.

Good luck!

You will first see the SpyBugs in the location 'The Nexus.' They do not always spawn and hae a pretty low chance to do so, so seeing 10, much less killing 10 without the taking your photograph is unlikely to happen through natural progression. Luckily there is a spot that will spawn them on occasion that you can grind the kills out at.

In 'The Nexus' if you make your way to the Recycle Bin area that you first visit during the mission 'File Search,' two enemies will spawn every time to re-visit the area. Most of the time it will be AdBugs, but on occasion SpyBugs will also spawn there. Basically, go to The Nexus, make your way to the Recycle Bin and see the two enemies that spawn. If they're SpyBugs kill them quickly as they are materializing in front of you, if they aren't then save and quit, then load your game back up and run back there, it isn't far from where you spawn in. Rinse and repeat until you've killed 10 of them.

They are pesky enemies and if you don't manage to kill them quickly enough they will become invisible and circle you for a few minutes before they reveal themselves to try to snap a photograph so if this happens, you're better just saving and quitting and trying again.

These enemies will also spawn in the 'l33t h4X0rz' arena missions, but again they are few and far between so you're better off grinding them at the Recycle Bin in The Nexus.

Kill 10 before they snap your picture, shown by your screen flashing bright white for a moment and the achievement is yours.

This video shows the place where you can complete the achievement, namely kill 10 SpyBugs. We killed one SpyBugs, save, re-enter the location, and do this until the trophy drops.
