How to unlock the Guardian Guardian achievement in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel - Definitive Guide

You can earn this achievement during the guardian hunter side quest that you get in vorago solitude after beating the final story mission. During this quest you will be asked to throw the trap grenades at the different types of guardians. At the end of the quest it will give you the choice to deliver the guardians or kill the master poacher. It is very important that you kill the master poacher otherwise you will not get the achievement. If you mess up and deliver then you either have to do the quest in True Vault Hunter Mode or dashboard to avoid saving.

Same happened to me today Nit0rin. I killed poacher master and completed the mission but didn't get the achievement. :/

Yeah I made the mistake of doing it the other way and had to do quest again on second play through.

Same for me - Shot him in the head and it didn't pop, no chance i'm playing through that all again for 15G

anyone found out why this hasn't unlocked? Same happened with me. Killed him no achievement

Made the mistake of killing him and immediately pressing X when given the prompt. I tried this again by closing app. I found out there's two scavs you need to kill after you kill the Poacher himself. After you kill them, the quest should come up as completed and it should pop!

Do not hit "talk" to the Master Poacher.
Maybe it's the way I was raised, but just shooting the Master Poacher without a word seemed wrong to me.

Just want to add to those who are getting back to this game: you need to affect each of the guardians with your own elemental weapon so if you're level 45+, come with weaker level weapons to make sure you don't instakill them.

This is a missable trophy that you can get after completing the main storyline.

In the Vorago Solitude area you will see an exclamation point. Head to it and you will see two guys, one of them being a man named Sterwin.
He will give you the quest Guardian Hunter, which requires you to go around collecting specific Guardian enemies with a special grenade.

To capture the enemies, destroy their shields and weaken their health, once low on health; toss your grenade at them to capture the Guardian. If you've ever played a Pokemon game before, its exactly like that.

Once you've collected a Guardian of each element type, Sterwin will bring you back to his hut with the Poacher standing in front of it. You will be given the choice to hand the Guardian to the Poacher, or to kill the Poacher.

To earn this trophy: Kill the Poacher.

A few other Scavs will appear, kill them all and the trophy will pop.

This achievement is missable if you choose incorrectly at the end of the mission.

To unlock this achievement yo will need to complete a side mission called 'Guardian Hunter.' You can only get the mission when you have completed the mission 'The Beginning of the End' and thus completed the game. You will find it in 'Vorago Solitude' given to you by 'Sterwin.' Complete the mission being very careful to choose correctly.

You will be tasked with capturing one of each type of elemental guardian and after doing this you will need to go to a 'Drop Off' point and deliver the specimens. When you get there however you are given a choice of how to complete the mission. You can kill the Master Poacher, saving the Guardians and unlocking the achievement, or you can give the Guardians to the Master Poacher. Of course for the achievement you will need to kill the Master poacher. When you attack him he'll be joined by a handful of Scavs, just kill them all and the achievement is yours.
