How to unlock the Shadow of Your Former Self achievement in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel - Definitive Guide

5H4D0W-TP, or simply Shadow-Trap, is the main antagonist of the Pre-Sequel DLC (the) Claptastic Voyage. The boss fight for Shadow-Trap has a few stages and an be pretty tricky running in blind. But for starters, it should be mentioned
The true boss fight takes place in three stages: Shadow-Trap, ECLIPSE, and EOS.

This video by YouTuber "MorninAfterKill" is pretty useful for learning a decent strategy you can take in to the fight.

Like several others in handsome collection, this one didn't unlock until I did it a second time in TVHM. Fyi

Without a doubt the most cancerous aids infested Boss in gaming history. The RNG of getting a weapon in this DLC is so low that the gun machines were regularly giving me guns that did 2x the damage of the garbage that any quest "reward" or "drop offered. This series deserves it's death from this tumor of a "Boss". Thank god this game flopped on release it deserves it.

It's really not that bad. Easier than a couple of the Invincible Bosses in BL2 for sure. (Looking at you, Master Gee) This took me 3 attempts. Just make sure you have a shock weapon to lower his shields and a corrosive weapon for the armored health part of the fight. This takes a lot of ammo, so make sure you're at full ammo going into the fight. Make sure you aim at the eye and not the turrets or rocket launchers on the EOS part. I didn't realize you do much more damage if you aim at the eye on the first attempt, once I did, it went much smoother. If you die on the EOS part, you don't have to re-do the ECLIPSE part.

Hi folks, apparently the trophy isn't technically story related, i killed Shadow trap and turned in the system shutdown quest and got nothing. Nevertheless, i got the trophy once i killed the final form of Shadow trap which is EOS, i don't know if it's a glitch or it's intended to be like that so be warned though, happy gaming

Unlocked after defeating '5H4DOW-TP' during the story mission 'System Shutdown.'
