How to unlock the Completionist achievement in Borderlands - Definitive Guide

To get this achievement you must complete all 43 missions available in the dlc. None of these missions are missable. You will find 39 of theses missions as you progress through the game picking them up from bounty boards, and ECHO mission contacts. There are 4 missions from 3 quest givers that you are not alerted to, I will detail their locations to make them easier for you to find.

Prison Claptrap- The clap trap is located in the "Lockdown Palace" , and will give you a standard Claptrap mission. You'll see the Claptrap on your way through the prison.

Thirsty the Midget- The midget is located in the "Sunken Seas" map area He is in a shack next to the only standing water. When you first enter the map area take the first highway offramp you see and then turn right towards the lake in the distance. The shack will be at the north end of the little lake. This quest giver will give you two quests.

Radar Locater- The last unannounced quest giver is actually a piece of equipment. You will find equipment in the "Roads End" map area. To get there from where you first enter the area make your way to the first Catch-a Ride station. Once there look over the cliff facing west. To your right you will see the gondola station and the cliff station it connects to. Now pull up your map and you will notice that there is a path around the the hilltop station to the west of it. Make your way to this entrance and walk south until you see a large cave opening that you are able to walk into, it will be on your left. (You can see it on your map as it juts out on the path.) Once in the cave you will see a shack, and inside the shack there will be a treasure case with the radar locater.

HELPFUL TIP:

If you join a friend's game to kill Crawmerax make sure you have the mission unlocked and are eligible for it AND you're playing on the correct playthrough (i.e. 1 or 2). I had to play through this twice because I beat it with friends on playthrough 2 and Crawmerax was my last mission for this achievement.

That said I had to beat him again and turn the mission in for the achievement. Much easier solo that with 4 people.

Does anyone know if theres a glitch with the "Super Marcus Sweep" quest? I'm in a friends game and hes at the door to the elavator the leads to the armory and the door won't open. I never had this problem with my game but I was wondering if anyone else has and if so is there a way to fix it?

Nah. I was with him when he did that quest to. We did it normal. Although, upon further investigation when learned that because he died in the armory, the other two questst hat have you go back become glitched or so I'm told.

We had this happen to a friend of ours, the way we fixed it was to have them join the game of someone who was at that part. He was able to enter the vault ,and finish the quest with them.

Just follow the green marker to the control room for the roadblocks, and on the wall you will see a board with wanted posters on it . You turn the quest in there.

@ Skipdaddy13 -Just drive around and you should eventually find it . I think the first one is close to the valley entrance.( The one you enter to get the radar) It should be near all the skags, dead smack in the middle of the dens.

@ Chaos711 Don't worry, you don't get the mission until after you destroy the depot.

I have a question I can not find an answer to anywhere. I just have circle of duty, the last marcus missions and crawmerax left but I'm getting destroyed in circle of duty. (Just finished corporal and the rocketeers are what kills me). I'm level 65 right now on playthrough 2 and I want to know if I do the story missions in playthrough 1 will the enemies scale to my level or be like level 40?

Cuz I actually got physically ill from the rage of trying to beat corporal solo.

An issue I encountered with the Super Marcus Sweep was that he didn't spawn as a Siren. A fix that worked for me was to reset your Xbox and ensure that you didn't phasewalk when entering the arena to fight General Knoxx again.

I just wanted to point out that you can always exit to menu, and then reload your save, for a quick jump back to T-Bone Junction. The game never puts you back in the previous area and it will always reload your character back in TBJ. This is much quicker then driving back and forth so much to turn in quests. Hope this helps!

Downvoted because I came here looking for which quests I needed to do for this achievement. *43 quests in total, and 4 of them come from 3 different quest givers* doesn't tell me jack. Only helpful part of this was the thing mentioning the claptrap at lockdown, as I didn't notice it till I was working on my midgits cheev

@JOE GA BOL Hmmmmmm............ I remember that guys used to get caught in the walls of Old Haven and there was a way to kill them, but I can't for the life of me remember how to do it. So barring me remembering it ,or you finding out, the only thing I can think of is joining on someone else's game.

I'm sorry but i gave you the negative because the mission "Clap trap rescue: Lock down palace, was named as Prison Clap trap. So when i went to go find him he was no where to be found, i checked my log book to see if i had did it, which of course since you named the mission wrong it looked like i didn't do it. So i saved reload, cleared cache and went through the whole process you do when you "think" a achievement is glitched, and he still wasn't there. Finally i go search a couple other sites to compare and find out the name of the mission was wrong, checked my log book and i had already did it. I rate every review i have read, and this is my first negative. Instead of you helping me get the achievement you had me waste over 3 hours of time for nothing. I probably sound like a brat, but the name of the missions are kinda important to get right. I know this is a old guide but i would change it so this dosent happen to anybody else

NOTE: Neither I nor the video publisher is responsible for your save corrupting should you do this wrong. Please do this at your own risk.

Super Marcus Sweep Glitch fix. Just tried it on mine and it's worked.

1. Get a USB Flash drive (doesn't matter about size)
2. Format the drive to windows, do not format it to the xbox 360
3. Copy your save from the XBOX 360 on to the USB drive
4. Follow this tutorial from 5:45 - https://youtu.be/CAOGRZ_DRDE

You must open the save from the flash drive, do not copy it to your computer as it may corrupt the save.

Although he does it on PC, I've done it with my XBOX 360 save. It'll basically delete the quest from your save making it like you never picked the quest up from Marcus.

After you've done all this, put the USB drive back in to your console and select the character from the save. Head to t-bone junction and, at some point, Marcus will say a line about him having a fantastic opportunity for you. This is the sign that says it's worked.

there are 43 missions in total and its recommended you do this achievement on the first playthrough for the simple reason that it will be easier, the 'circle of duty' and 'you.will.die' missions will be extremely hard on the second playthrough without exploiting glitches

Hera - Outside Moxxi's place.
Minerva - First outpost place you reach in The Ridgeway.

- Armory Assault
- Bridging the Gap
- Athena Set Up Us The Bomb

- This Bitch is Payback
- This Bitch is Payback, pt. 2

Beautiful work, dude. I compiled the list for the Rust Commons-- this looks just as lengthy. Well done.

Keep in mind that exiting the game and starting it back up will place you in T-Bone Junction every time-- so, if you've finished your round of quests at Road's End just save, exit, and load to take a quick shortcut back.

@Solo P3t3r: what makes it impossible to get? I did the glitch a bunch of times on my first playthrough this week and was able to finish "Super-Marcus-Sweep" just fine. What you can't do is go into the elevator shaft area while doing the glitch because it will tick the 2nd box of that mission making it impossible to finish that quest and will lock you out of the armory on that character (not sure if it would doable if you locked yourself out on the 1st playthrough and then was able to do it on the 2nd playthrough)

As per Impendin Agony and pincers1066's great solutions, but this is mostly a warning.

This achievement can get bugged on the Marcus missions.

These are his:
- Core Collection
- Mop Up
- Super-Marcus Sweep
- Local Trouble
- It's Like Christmas!

If you get stuck with Super-Marcus Sweep and It's Like Christmas at the same time, your game will get confused since they both involve doing the exact same thing of going into the armory to loot weapons. It will check off one mission but glitch another by only checking one of the three requirements.

The most likely way this will happen is if you join a hosted game in which the host has It's Like Christmas and you're not that far yet.

The only way I have found to solve this issue is to find someone on the same playthrough who has not yet completed the glitched mission. I only had two missions left so I joined random XBL games and was in luck that in one I joined they were doing my glitched mission. It then went green for me and I was able to turn it in.

An alternative is to complete the entire DLC again on your other playthrough. So if you started on playthrough two, you can choose to load playthrough one and go from there. Only to be used as a last resort though!

Edit: Note Bilkokuya's comment. It has a potential solution for fixing the glitched mission instead of having to find someone who has not yet completed it.

Did it not even give you a mission to do? :( If you know the one you're missing, try and join random games in the hope that someone is doing it or about to unlock it. I'd say it would then be added to your quest list.

No - it's only if you join someone else's game where they have the mission.

Actually thinking about it more, it could glitch in single player. Because I got the mission from another player rather than from Marcus I'm not sure if the game will give you Local Trouble before you complete Super-Marcus Sweep. If it does, make sure you complete SMS before handing in LT.

By LitaOsiris on 01 Aug 2010 18:48
The main problem with joining another player is that the mission passes on virally.
As soon as another player with Its Like Christmas (ILC) joins your game, you will be given the mission - meaning the only way another player can help, is if they have already completed SMS but not ILC.

My advice is to glitch yourself past the locked door:
Once you have defeated Knoxx, go back to the med-vendor (best done with a friend), and stock up on super-medkits. You will also want to buy a full set of grenades (sticky are best) which you will use for a grenade jump later.
Take these to the foot of the door that is locked (the large blast door; after you've gone through the colour-code-door), and drop them around the middle.
Try to get as many as possible to push right into the door so they're rumbling around; but don't worry about being messy, you can expect to have a lot that don't even nearly touch the door.
Repeat this until you have over 150 or so medkits at the door. Sometimes you'll need more, sometimes less - this is really just about abusing the physics engine.
To get through the door, run up to the middle where the kits are stacked and begin jumping against the door as if you're trying to jump through it.
You should fall through the floor and now be under the map - if you do not, either keep trying, or try rearranging some of the medkits.
When under the floor - go forward to the edge through the black fog - it will be like walking towards a black wall - then suddenly you'll be at an edge.
DO NOT FALL DOWN HERE - if you do, you need to start again - having a friend in the game so you can respawn yourself outside the glitch is useful.
Move to the far right of the edge where you see a checkered texture area; with a clear floor that you can see into the level from.
Start jumping along this area (it will be directly underneath an open blast door - exactly at the point where some people jump down for the "infinite knoxx armoury" glitch).
When you can jump high enough and find the hole in the floor - throw a grenade beneath you and jump - so the explosion pushes you up higher.
If successful, you will now be on the correct side of the floor and be able to finish the mission as you would normally - pressing the button and collecting the loot before the timer goes (note that with friends, all friends need to do this, otherwise the button cannot be pressed).

In theory this work-around can also be used to repeat the armoury infinitely, without getting stuck - however, I'd recommend just using this once, and getting the rest of your weapons legitimately.

I hope that helps for anybody stuck with the Its Like Christmas mission half complete. I can personally say this works - if you need a video of it, there is at least one currently on youtube.

Feel free to contact me on my gamertag for help, info or borderlands assistance.

Bilkokuya's solution works! When you dropped something about 80 medical items, try to find a place when you're blocked and can't jump. Then jump back and try to land with your next jumps exactly in the no-movement point.

Special thanks to Bilkokuya and FayMoon for their information. I found a somewhat helpful video for glitching through the armory door (https://youtu.be/cqd6HU4X6mg).

Be sure to use the square healing kits instead of the "Greater" ones that look like bottles. I wasted an hour buying the latter.

I've stumbled on a way to clear up any glitched missions, like the Super-Marcus Sweep and It's Like Christmas!

This can be solved fairly easily if you have a second controller. Much easier in my opinion than trying to find a random online player that is in the middle of this quest.

Start up an offline account, or choose one that you can start a new character on, and have that profile start up a split screen game. Second player will be your character stuck on any quests.

I'll suggest you have your main character complete every possible quest they can before starting this method.

Below, I'll post the quest sequence needed for the "It's like Christmas!" as that's the most "glitched" mission.

Fair word of warning: Have the "new" character turn in ALL quests. You can glitch a few of these. I glitched getting Athena out of prison. She's back in Scooter's place, but the "new" character can't turn in.

You'll need to knock out all the story line quests. Should be easy, as you're re-running your character through play through 1.
- Scooter? But I Don't Even Know Her.
- Boost the Monster
- Greasemonkey
- You've Got Moxxi: Roadblock
- You've Got Moxxi: Moxxi's Red Light
- Prison Break: Road Warrior
- Prison Break: Over the Wall
- Prison Break: Try Not to Get Shanked
- Rendezvous
- Code Breaker: Analysis
- Code Breaker: Time is Bullets
- Athena Set Up Us The Bomb
- Bridging the Gap
- Armory Assault
- Loot Larceny

And, yes you're going to have to endure the endless "Hey, I've got quests for you!" from every other NPC. Don't pick up the side quests unless you're going after other glitched missions like Drifter Lifter (Kill Skyscrapper).

After the story quests are knocked out, you'll need to focus on four Marcus quests. Completing Mop Up unlocks Super-Marcus Sweep. Similarly, finishing Local Trouble unlocks It's Like Christmas!
- Mop Up
- Super-Marcus Sweep
- Local Trouble
- It's Like Christmas!

Just make sure you complete Super-Marcus Sweep before turning in Local Trouble, and your "new" character won't also glitch, possibly making you do another run through with yet another new character.

After this, your primary character should get the Bleep-Bloop. I hope this helps.

I had this quest glitch on me. While I was doing the online stuff I guess I was doing the mission "armory assault" and all three boxes where checked but I could never turn in the mission because I flipped the wrong elevator button...well this is people that can't get past this dumb door. Confirmed 100% works just empty your invo and keep pooring medkits there. Best with a siren.

I want to outline a guide on how to bypass or solve the known glitch for Marcus’s quest for going back and re-destroying the Lance Armory. I may have stumbled onto a solution, although my theory is not tested. I just want to relay the information I have gathered to you guys so anyone having this problem can try this method, IT WORKED FOR ME.

Now, let me start off by explaining the situation I was in, as it differs from other peoples experiences that I’ve read about. I DID NOT use the unlimited time glitch to stay in the armory when you have to destroy it in the main storyline mission, and I did not play with anyone so far during this DLC, but I have been signed into Xbox live. And let me point out before moving forward that the Marcus mission that glitched for me was Super-Marcus Sweep. The way that it glitched the first time was I went to the armory like it said, and General Knoxx was not present, and there was a red laser door blocking my progression to the control room. This was on a playthrough one, with a character I made specifically to do the Underdome Riot DLC, so none of the main story was completed on this character. The second time it glitched, it did the same exact thing as before, but this time I had switched characters completely, going to my original character that I beat the main story with, only difference was this was on playthrough 2.

The way I got this mission to un-glitch was actually very simple. I got up to the point where Knoxx wasn’t there, and the red laser door was up and I couldn’t go any further. I simply exited the game in frustration. I have to say, looking back on both of my experiences in trying to complete this quest, on my way to the armory both times from T-Bone Junction I noticed that all of the items dropped by the foes I fought were still on the ground. I found this to be odd since I cleared the area I was in several times. Anyway, I loaded up the game the next day with the hopes that something had changed, and I was correct! I went to the armory like normal, and everything happened the way it should have. I killed General Knoxx, the red laser door disappeared, and I went straight upstairs, where the next door opened and it let me into the control room like it should have.

Please, if you are having trouble, try this method and leave a comment if it works or not. I hope that it really is this simple of a fix to get this quest completed. I know that this is a nightmare to redo all of the missions, I myself redid them twice so far, I hope there aren’t any more complications down the road.

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Note:

The quest "It's Like Christmas!" also glitched on me, and using the method stated above, it un-glitched. So I can confirm 100% this method does work! If you were having the same symptoms as me presumably, I don't know if it will work if the red laser door is gone and you can't get past the second door, I didn't have that issue.

I hope this solution helped! Leave a comment letting me know if there is any room for improvement! Thanks.

Just beat Crawmerax in a session for the last quest for this and we ran into a bit of a problem. Everyone got credit for beating Crawmy and the the 'Vincible' achievement but when we went to turn the quest in at the bounty board it would let the host turn it in and get credit for turning it in but for the rest of us it said we were 'ineligible' for the quest. We found out that you can turn it in once you go into a solo game without any issues. I don't know what other quests might be bugged like this but going into a solo game helped.

This achievement can glitch and require a new playthrough because this DLC stupidly has 3 different quests with the exact same objectives.
The quests are:

- Loot Larceny
- It's Like Christmas!
- Super-Marcus Sweep

These quests all require you to break into the Crimson Lance armoury, start the countdown on the bomb and then wait until the place explodes. I had all three in my mission log but once I killed Knoxx, I pulled right switch on the objective and then looted the chests. This completed all of the objectives for Super-Marcus Sweep but It's Like Christmas! still had the 'countdown started' objective unchecked. I pressed start and quit which saved my progress. When I loaded in, I was able to kill Knoxx again and access the armoury with It's Like Christmas! as my active quest which then counted as complete.

With both Marcus quests done, I let the armoury blow up only to find that the main quest Loot Larceny had not been updated at all. Luckily, I had not turned any of them in yet so I looked for solutions online and spent over an hour throwing health kits at the locked vault door to try and glitch myself inside. After getting annoyed/bored, I decided to try one last thing which was to save my progress and quit. Luckily, this again respawned Knoxx and allowed me access to the armoury but this time I pulled the left switch which progressed Loot Larceny and allowed me to finish the DLC.

Essentially, do the two side quests first and then the main quest by saving and quitting after each one is complete without turning any of them in.

I don't know if this will work for everyone, but it saved me from having to go through the entire DLC a second time so if you end up having all 3 quests in your mission log at once before you get to the armoury, try to follow me step-by-step and hopefully this garbage won't mess up for you.

If you completed all the tasks and the trophy did not drop, then most likely you missed the mission "Lost Lewts".
