How to unlock the Ding! Champion achievement in Borderlands - Definitive Guide
This solution is most likely the easiest and fastest way do gain XP, but it has two conditions; The challenge "Merchant of death" must be unobtained. (sell 1200 items / 20,000XP), and you need some cash.
Say you start from scratch (0 sold items), you need $287,760 to do this trick, so you have preferably already completed the game before even reading this.
What is going to happen is this; you will gain 20,000XP for every save/load.
Here's what to do:
-Travel to Fyrestone, and go the Zed's vending machine (cheaper)
-Buy as many Light Healing Kits you can fit in your Backpack
-Sell them just as fast
-Rinse and repeat 'till you reach the amount of 1,199 sold items in your Challenge Log.
-SAVE
It is most important that you save at 1,199 sold items, NOT more! If you save at 1,200, you will have lost this golden opportunity. So check your log!
Now the good stuff:
-Load
-Return to Zed's vending machine
-Sell one item of your choice, and BUY IT BACK (Use the "Buyback" option)
-Exit vending machine
Now you will receive 20,000XP for completing the challenge "Merchant of Death", but since you bought the last item back, it will be deducted from the counter, and still show 1,199!
Save yet again to register the newly added 20,000XP, and load her up again.
There is no limit for how many times you can repeat this.
I noticed something last night when following one of these solutions above.
If you follow the Merchant of Death guide, but sell something which makes your money go up to 999,999,999 and then buy it back you will get 20k exp from 'Merchant of Death' & 20k exp from 'How much for the planet?'. You reload the same but you just sell something more expensive.
I was in a multiplayer game and someone dropped an item worth 450k so i sold that, bought it back and when i went to the normal screen i had completed 2 challenges and got 40k exp; I earned level 40-61 in around 2 hours.
I know this solution is posted when the game is dated but hope it helps. Also; The video below is how to do the Merchant of Death solution, like i said just sell an expensive weapon to hit the 999,999,999 dollar cap and get 40k exp a time..
God bless :)
Then he have to invite you to his game and teleport you to Erdian Promontory, also in playthrough 2. Killing enemies in this location should give you a strong expirience boost (around 14,000 per kill if you are at level 40 or less). This is hardest but the quickest way to get level 50.
And if you don't have a friend with this requirements, you can type to me on xbox Live!, becouse i have the one of most powerful weapons in this game, so it won't be problem to level you up. It's a Combat Rifle which deals 1830 damage or so.
Sorry for my English (i wish it wasn't as bad as i think) :)
Do not waste time reloading and replaying through certain parts of the game as progressing to Playthrough 2 will in all likelihood get you to unlocking this trophy quicker. Once playing through Playthrough 2, feel free to reload and play areas that have enemies that are no greater than 3 levels above you, as the difficulty to handle mobs will be too time consuming. As you progress, keep using the same strategy mentioned above and you this will be yours sooner than you know it!
Some all-around tips to making this go faster are as follows:
Focus on improving gun proficiency for 2 weapons only. I recommend SMG and Revolver due to the fast reload and moderate damage of the SMG which can handle mobs, while the Revolver deals high amounts of damage, best used for strong enemies and bosses.
Keep on hand all types of elemental weapons. When combining this with the previous tip, you should have 5 different weapons for each weapon type you choose to have, keeping your backpack filled with at least 10 weapons. This will come more in handy than you realize, especially playing solo.
If you can manage to gather a decent boosting party, definitely play co-op as the experience gained will be much more.
Avoid dying by always having an exit to fall back to. If facing bosses, just keep running around while you heal. In either case, dying will be the biggest drawback to leveling quicker as you have to run back to where you were before progressing forward. And since enemies do not respawn, there is nothing to gain.
Feel free to comment with more tips!
Happy Hunting :)
This should come to you as you progress to the final level of your second playthrough. XP can be earned by killing enemies, completing quests, and completing challenges (Challenges can be found by pressing under the quests tab). Re-run the last area of the game on your second playthrough if needed.
Power-leveling can be used to get an early boost this and will definitely help as you progress through the game. To power level, it is required that you have at least 2 players, one who is just starting the game and the other who has completed at least Playthrough 1. The higher level character must teleport to the last level of the game in Playthrough 1 or 2 and rush through and kill all of the enemies. This will allow very large XP boosts to go to the lower-level player. It is possible to get to level 20 during one run and this is very helpful when starting out.
