How to unlock the Ding! Sleepless achievement in Borderlands - Definitive Guide
By completing all of the main and side quests, you should reach around level 36 at the end of play through 1.
If possible, try and find a friend who has a level 50 character, and who has completed the Rakk Hive boss fight. Enter their game with your level 36 character and get them to kill the Rakk Hive for you around 3 times (everytime the game loads from menu screen, the Rakk Hive spawns).
Another option (and perhaps the more honest) is to simply start a second playthrough and complete missions with high XP.

What ever level you are jump into a multiplayer game making sure the host is lvl 60+ and this will get you the achievement a lot quicker.
If you want this achievement have the general Knoxx and claptrap revolution dlc then join an xbox live match (look for the ones that are in the deep fathoms) alot of people will most likely be versing the crawmerax if youre lvl 1 you can get to lvl 11 or higher just by having the crawmerax die once also after beating him take alot of guns then sell them to get more experience also if you Dont have the dlc just keep versing guardians theyre really easy if you beat the game at lvl 34 or lower with mordecai just kill the guardians with bloodwing and lvl up that way
This is the best and the quickest way to level up, go to Fyrestone where you first start and go to the vending machine, drop all your items next to the vendors and start purchasing cheapest health vials and then just sell them, best done later in game as you gonna require a lot of money 200k I think, then just keep an eye out on the challenge and make sure you don't go over 1199 sold items. Once that is done just follow the video sell one of your items, buy it back exit the game make sure it says all progress will be saved and then just come back in again and repeat the process. Takes about 5 minutes to get 100k xp.
There's a way (easy but long) to have it: your character have the same level in game 1 and game 2...
...so you can start game 2 to fix enemy level, obtain some level-up in game 1 completing the "ability" mission (20.000 xp) and DLC (at your level you are something like a god), then come back to an easier game 2 (and DLC for a second time).
I know it's long but I adore this game.

First off, you'll need 1,836,137 XP to get level 40. The most active way to earn this trophy is to complete all missions (which will count towards other trophies) and killing, or have a teammate kill, all enemies equal to or greater than your level.
Do not waste time reloading and replaying through certain parts of the game as progressing to Playthrough 2 will in all likelihood get you to unlocking this trophy quicker. Once playing through Playthrough 2, feel free to reload and play areas that have enemies that are no greater than 3 levels above you, as the difficulty to handle mobs will be too time consuming. As you progress, keep using the same strategy mentioned above and you this will be yours half-way through your Fyrstone Missions in Playthrough 2.
Some all-around tips to making this go faster are as follows:
Focus on improving gun proficiency for 2 weapons only. I recommend SMG and Revolver due to the fast reload and moderate damage of the SMG which can handle mobs, while the Revolver deals high amounts of damage, best used for strong enemies and bosses.
Keep on hand all types of elemental weapons. When combining this with the previous tip, you should have 5 different weapons for each weapon type you choose to have, keeping your backpack filled with at least 10 weapons. This will come more in handy than you realize, especially playing solo.
If you can manage to gather a decent boosting party, definitely play co-op as the experience gained will be much more.
Avoid dying by always having an exit to fall back to. If facing bosses, just keep running around while you heal. In either case, dying will be the biggest drawback to leveling quicker as you have to run back to where you were before progressing forward. And since enemies do not respawn, there is nothing to gain.
Feel free to comment with more tips!

This trophy is obtained during the second playthrough... after the credits we complete the quest and go to the main menu and when you start the single mode... an option appears to choose between the first and second playthrough, select the second and start with high-level enemies (about level 32-36 with the beginning of the game) this is generally a question of technique... hee hee

Get it on your 2nd playthrough of the game. This way you earn MORE experience than by killing monsters in the 1st playthrough. And you appear somewhere at level 36. (We complete ALL quests according to the plot and quickly earn trophies).

I killed everything and everyone, collected and sold everything that was bad and good. Of course, I completed all sorts of challenges. At the end of the first playthrough I reached level 37. No matter how you look at it, it won’t work anymore, it seems to me.
Boosting with flyers, as advised in the trophy for level 50, is useless at my level because they gave very little - for a strong “flyer” a maximum of 1200. I started the second playthrough, what do we see? This means that there are five times more enemies in the old places and they give a huge amount of points. The first meeting with crabs (or whatever they are? when you need to collect crystals in a cave) brought me a level! And so it’s not far from the 50th.

A very easy way (I was shocked, I boosted so much, and then in an hour I was about 10 lvl up from 57 to 67). And so, we reach the last boss Destroyer (in my case on the 2nd playthrough), but we don’t kill him, but start boosting on the site before him (Eridian Promontory). Killed everyone, save, exit, load, to respawn and kill the flying reptiles again. They are very easy to kill, plus their lvl grows in parallel with your lvl up. From 3 thousand experience for one, it grew in an hour to 6-31 thousand. I also upgraded my sniper from 27 to 46 in an hour.
