How to unlock the Hell-Burbia achievement in Borderlands - Definitive Guide
There are two ways to do this.
1) Play through with your character and complete the 3 small tournies to unlock the 20 rounders. Then play the 20 rounders to the bitter end and the achievement is yours. I recommend using a very low level character (I was a level 19 Hunter) as the host because the AI will match whatever level the host is, not one more or one less, and then have your level 50 friends join your game and everyone will get this achievement. Even IF they don't have the smaller tournaments done. I can confirm this works, EVEN IF YOU DROP OUT, the only person that has to remain constant is the host.
2) Find a game on Xbox Live that is close to being completed. Jump in their game and complete the game. They can even be on the second to last wave of round 20 when you join. As long as you are playing when the 5th wave of the 20th round is completed you will get the achievement.

I do agree though that jumping in late is shady. I wouldn't let someone do that.

The way I did these achievements was very simple. Have your main character to be a high level character from level 50 - 69 if you have the dlcs. Using a seperate profile/gamertag train up a character through the story till they can teleport to 'The Underdome' this'll be around level 10 maybe lower. Then go into a split screen game with your low level account as player 1, use your main higher level account as player 2, the lowest the enemies can be is level 12. Play through the small tournaments, then move on to the big ones, this will still take a fair amount of time, but with your high level character things should be a breeze. Good Luck
The easiest way I have found to do this will require you teaming up with at least two more people whom have characters at level 50.
The best thing I've found to do is for the host to be a level 5 (you could be lower as well) character and your friends bring in a level 50 character or the highest level character that they have.
The game scales the enemies to the host so if the host is level 5, then all the enemies will be level 5 making it easier on you because your friends are higher up than you.
The main thing is for the level 5 character to stay out of harms way for the most part. I'd suggest keeping one of your friends close that way if you get downed they can easily heal you.
I'm using the Siren so if I get in a bad spot, I can phase out and run to a safer spot, hence the reason I suggest being level 5. All in all each arena should take you around 1-5 hours to complete. Hope this helps, good luck.

You can fast travel to zombie island and underdome at anytime. At least i was able to. Let me know if you can't do it and I'll see what's up.

First, you must complete the smaller tournaments before unlocking the big tournaments. Once you have unlocked the larger challenges, select Hell-Burbia. There are a few ways to earn the trophy.
1) Solo. Grind it out for hours fighting enemies equal to your level.
2) Co-op. Have your main character be a low level (10-20) and your second a high level (50+). Have the low level character start up the larger tournament for Hell-Burbia and use your high level character to kill enemies. This is the safer method compared to playing solo.
3) Online. Jump in a game that is playing in this tournament. You only need to be present for the last wave of the last round in order to unlock the trophy.
Once you have completed the tournament, the trophy will unlock. A few tips for Hell-Burbia are as follows:
For cover from badasses and herding the horde wave to where they cannot attack you, jump on the platform ledges along the SouthWest wall where the blue buildings are (see video at 3:36).
For difficult bosses, stay far back where the Crimson buildings are (see video at 19:48). You should be able to have a clear line of sight and can pick off the bosses as they come towards you. If they reach you before you kill them, simply run behind them and go to the curtain area and rinse and repeat.
Playing with no shield is by far the worse handicap. If this happens, make sure to play with extreme caution as you will certainly be killed a lot faster.

at first glance it looks unrealistic, but you just need a second controller, create the character 1 levola, make him the main one, and make swag the main character as the second character, and then in oren the opponents are 30 less than you levola!
