Equipped a class mod for your character

How to unlock the There are some who call me...Tim achievement in Borderlands - Definitive Guide

There are class mods, which amplify the abilities of a certain character, which you will eventually find from drops and some weapon/item crates.

Class mods do have class requirements, so you must find a class mod which applies to whatever character you are playing as. (E.G. You cannot equip a Soldier class mod to Mordecai)

Simply equip the first class mod you find for your character and the achievement will unlock.

** SPOILER **
You should get your first class mod after killing Sledge. (Credit to Ruthless Remix)

It all depends on the storyline. If you are further in the story, you may see them more often. However, if you're playing alone, you may not see them until a bit later than when I found my first one.

I'm the soldier guy. I killed Sledge while I was at Level 15... all I got was some cash drops and a few crappy guns. Hopefully it'll drop soon for me.

I got the class mod after killing Sledge and then turning in the task back with Dr Zed in Fyrestone.

It wasn't a pickup, it was a reward for completing the mission.

I got a class mod around level 9-10 from a loot drop. Unfortunately, it has a level requirement of Level 22 before I can equip it. sigh.

Just like Vermin360, I got it very early (level 9 or 10). Unfortunately it was for a different character and level 26.

This is pretty much the same as World of Warcraft... Items have droprates...
Lower droprates mean that you really need to be lucky to get one. Loads of people seem te get it rewarded from killing sledge. So far it's possible that i killed sledge allready, but i'm like lvl 16 and in sledge's safehouse allready. It's kinda hard in here but i'm doing ok. So far, no drop yet and i might have killed sledge allready not so sure...

Class mods are Class specific. Meaning you cannot use a Soldier mod for a Siren and vice versa. To unlock this trophy, simply equip the first class mod you find on your character. You will get your first class mod after killing Sledge or you can have a friend give you one if you meet the level requirements.

Happy Hunting :)

This is unlocked fairly early in the game and can be done before you leave Fyrestone. One of the missions will require you to complete the objective and come back to Dr. Zed, he will then reward you with a class mod. Simply equip it as you would a grenade mod in the inventory.

Story trophy, hard to miss. After you kill the first boss "Sledge" you will receive a mod for your class as a reward. Dress it up and the trophy is yours.
