Bot Gaiden (UP)

The boss on this stage is a huge snake. Make sure you have the projectile power up here as it will make the boss so much easier - if you die on the way you lose all your powerups, so a clean run to the boss is key here.

For this one, you can just stand on the top left plaform and spam your projectile - you can reach him when he lunges forward, but he can't reach you.
